@edgarblythe,
You sent me to the archives again, edgar.

The Left Banke were an American baroque pop band that formed in New York City in 1965 and disbanded in 1969. They are best remembered for their two U.S. hit singles, "Walk Away Renée" and "Pretty Ballerina". The band often utilized what the music press referred to as "baroque" string arrangements, which led to their music being variously termed as "Bach-rock", "baroque rock" or "baroque 'n' roll". The band's harmonies borrowed from contemporaries such as The Beatles, The Zombies and other British Invasion groups. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine placed "Walk Away Renée" at #220 in its list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

They were great, Texas.

Well, since they are Bach rock, let's switch over to that fabulous composer. This is for Marie inspired by Renee.

classical guitar, yawl.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! I love that song, "I'll Be Seeing You". I had no idea that Johnny had such a range. That falsetto was amazing, edgar. Thanks for the memory and the pleasure of his company.

Remember Two Guitars?

British band Radiohead are set to release a new album this weekend, this tune is from their second album

Her green plastic watering can
For her fake Chinese rubber plant
In the fake plastic earth
That she bought from a rubber man
In a town full of rubber plans
To get rid of itself
It wears her out, it wears her out
It wears her out, it wears her out

She lives with a broken man
A cracked polystyrene man
Who just crumbles and burns
He used to do surgery
For girls in the eighties
But gravity always wins
And it wears him out, it wears him out
It wears him out, it wears...

She looks like the real thing
She tastes like the real thing
My fake plastic love
But I can't help the feeling
I could blow through the ceiling
If I just turn and run
And it wears me out, it wears me out
It wears me out, it wears me out

If I could be who you wanted
If I could be who you wanted
All the time, all the time

UhOh, Where did everybody go?

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with a familiar theme.

Forgive the abrupt ending as someone from the mafia may have shot the performer. Razz

Speak softly, love and hold me warm against your heart
I feel your words, the tender trembling moments start
We're in a world, our very own
Sharing a love that only few have ever known

Wine-colored days warmed by the sun
Deep velvet nights when we are one

Speak softly, love so no one hears us but the sky
The vows of love we make will live until we die
My life is yours and all because
You came into my world with love so softly love

Goodnight, world.

From Letty with love

edgar, Loved your goodnight song by The Impressions and thanks again for the comments. The Frank Mills song from hair was great. Hurry back.

Good day, Brit. Zizzy Marley's True to Myself is what we all need to be. The Toys' Lover's Concerto was fantastic. Thanks, London and you hurry back, too.

Two songs for the early morning, yawl.

First, some snail mail.

alex, One eskimO, was amazing. Loved it and thanks for the introduction.

When I think of Eskimos, I think of cold weather. Hope the U.S. is thawing now.

Our poem for today:

Listen to the Warm

By Rod McKuen

I live alone.
It hasn't always been that way.
It's nice sometimes
to open up the heart a little
and let some hurt come in.
It proves you're still alive.

I'm not sure what it means.
Why we cannot shake the old loves from out minds.
It must be that we build on memory
and make them more that what they were.
And is the manufacture
just a safe device for closing up the wall?

I do remember.
The only fuzzy circumstance
is something where-and how.
Why, I know.
It happens just because we need
to want and to be wanted too,
when love is here or gone
to lie down in the darkness
and listen to the warm.

@Letty,
I know Mr Postman and Morning Waves, letty. Also know Sakura. I had read once that it is the Japanese national anthem. Then I read later on that there is no official Japanese anthem. So, I don't know. And el Condor Pasa is one of my favorite recordings by Paul and Art.

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, and goodnight edgar, and thanks once again for your comments.

Dear Janis

Saying goodnight with two songs.

First The Rose by Bette.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIGPUBg8Ts8&feature=related

That, of course, was intended for Janis Joplin.

Now, a birthday boy.

Goodnight, all.

From Letty with love and hope
