Ah, Irish, I love Nobody Does it Better by Carly. Thanks for the memory of James Bond.

edgar. That man swings. Thanks for Around the World by him. We get all the countries in that way.

Can't have Carly without James. Too bad things didn't work out for them.

@edgarblythe,
Love Mystery Train by the King, edgar. Never heard it, however. Old Blue Eyes may not have been a prince in real life, but he does know how to sing.

Somehow, that Fab Four song says a lot and makes me feel a bit sad. Love the visuals. With Love From Me to You is really great.

Dear Elvis. Speaking of "blue"

I love Blue Christmas, letty.
When Elvis released White Christmas, radio stations banned it. I know of at least one DJ getting fired for breaking the rule. What has that to do with the song I am about to play? Elvis often recorded Clyde McPhatter's songs. This version of White Christmas uses practically the same arrangement Elvis used, and yet it was perfectly okay to air it on the radio.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Banned it? How weird, Texas.

Love that version of White Christmas, buddy. It gave me a smile.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with Feelings the instrumental. To me, nothing is more powerful than the sense of touch. I realize that I have played it before, but it means so much to me.

Thanks to all of our contributors today.

I don't mind when special recordings get more plays. I sometimes play repeats myself. Feelings is a fine song.

Good morning from Florida. It's still dark here.

edgar, thanks again for your comments, and I had no idea that Bobby did Clementine. Fantastic, Texas.

Welcome back, Brit. Love Nancy Wilson, and her Christmas Waltz was perfect.

Today is Tom Waits' birthday, and this song if perfect and delightful.

Good ole Tom Waits. Good song.
Today is Dec 7. Because we are no longer an enemy to Japan, this tribute focuses on something a bit less harrowing than the attack on Pearl Harbor.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I had forgotten that today is Pearl Harbor day. If you will, explain that Pearl Harbor, Tennessee song. I don't understand the message behind the two kids flying a glider.

Thanks again for your comments, Texas.

The movie, Pearl Harbor was on the other night, but I didn't watch it. I just remember bits and pieces from the first time.

Today is Harry Chapin's birthday, so here is a tribute to him.

I still recall Beware of the Dog, however. The problem with many short stories is that writers often fail to catch the reader with the exposition. A good one does so, then the rising action leading to a climax then the resolution; all should be succinct and compressed.

@Letty,
That video concerns two boys who grew up to be stationed in Pearl Harbor.
