@edgarblythe,
Love that song, Edgar..

Home is where the heart is
And my heart is anywhere you are
Anywhere you are is home
I don't need a mansion on a hill
That overlooks the sea
Anywhere you're with me is home

Maybe I'm a rolling stone
Who won't amount to much
But everything that I hold dear
Is close enough to touch

For home is where the heart is
And my heart is anywhere you are
Anywhere you are is home

Maybe I'm a rolling stone
Who won't amount to much
But everything that I hold dear
Is close enough to touch

For home is where the heart is
And my heart is anywhere you are
Anywhere you are is home

@edgarblythe,
Thanks, dear edgar for keeping us on the air. I listened to all the songs today, but since I'm not feeling too well, I think that I shall simply say thanks to everyone for the music.

Saying goodnight with two songs, y'all.

First, a birthday boy.

Thanks and happy birthday for Paul Desmond.
I recall somebody else doing Marty's song, from the distant past, but can't be sure whom. Possibly Hank Snow. It's a great one, anyway.
One of my older brother's favorite artists was Webb Pierce.

Zac Brown Band - Toes

I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand
Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand
Life is good today. Life is good today.
Well, the plane touched down just about 3 oclock
And the citys still on my mind
Bikinis and palm trees danced in my head
I was still in the baggage line
Concrete and cars are there own prison bars like this life Im living in
But the plane brought me farther.
Im surrounded by water
And Im not going back again

I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand
Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand
Life is good today. Life is good today.

Adios and vaya con dios
Yeah Im leaving GA
And if it werent for tequila and pretty senoritas
Id have no reason to stay
Adios and vaya con dios
Yeah Im leaving GA
Gonna lay in the hot sun and roll a big fat one
And grab my guitar and play

Four days flew by like a drunk Friday night as the summer drew to an
end
They cant believe that I just couldnt leave
And I bid adieu to my friends
Because my bartender shes from the islands
Her bodys been kissed by the sun
And coconut replaces the smell of the bar and I dont know if its her or
the rum

I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand
Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand
Life is good today. Life is good today.

Adios and vaya con dios
A long way from GA
Yes, and all the muchachas they call me big poppa when I throw
pesos their way
Adios and vaya con dios
A long way from GA
Someone do me a favor and pour me some Jaeger
And Ill grab my guitar and play

Adios and vaya con dios
Going home now to stay
The senoritas dont care-o when theres no dinero
I got no money to stay
Adios and vaya con dios
Going home now to stay

Just gonna prop up by the lake
Put my ass in a lawn chair
Toes in the clay
Not a worry in the world a PBR on the way
Life is good today. Life is good today.
Yeeeeeee Haaaaa!

Good morning. Its cold and a tad wet out this morning. I suspect we will come home early today, but have learned to not predict what the top echelon will elect to do. See you all later on the radio.

Puccini was mentioned a while back.I like these....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXmgVqyvKdE
From the opera "Madam Butterfly" by Puccini
Adapted by Malcolm McLaren and Robby Kilgore

Pinkerton:
Back in Nagasaki I got married to Cho Cho San
That was her name in those days
And I was her man
I'm going back to visit her
She got a problem
She got a little Cho Cho
Cho Cho San was her name
And this is her tale of woe
Take it away Cho Cho

Cho Cho San:
Today's the day when I see clear
A tiny thread of smoke appears
Where blue skies fall upon the ocean
And shake this staid emotion

All the while I sing this song
I see a dot on the horizon
Growing bigger every second
Gleaming white in my direction

Who on earth can it be
Coming up the path for me?
What on earth will he say?
Shall I run to him or run away?

Freaking out he's come to get me
My feet are stuck but just won't let me
Run to him do I dare?
Madam Butterfly don't blow it

Chorus

Calling Butterfly, Madam Butterfly
That's the name he used to give me
He's my man till the day I die
Oh sweet Butterfly, so sweet Butterfly
She's waiting
He'll be back, I have faith in this love track

Pinkerton:
Pinkerton's the name
Lieutenant Colonel Pinkerton! sir
U.S. Navy
I'm a bounder
I married a Yankee girl
But I went back to visit old Japan
Where there she was, Cho Cho San

Cho Cho San:
Gotta have something to believe in
My white honkey, I do miss him
Someday soon he'll come around
Just to stop my nervous breakdown

Call me fool! Call me stupid!
Bend my arrow kill this cupid
Say it with me
He'll be back
I have faith in this love track

Pinkerton:
Cho Cho San
My little wife
My sweet butterfly
That's the name I'll give her
When I return

Chorus

Little sweet sweet Butterfly
I hear him crowing faintly
He thinks I'm just still sweet sixteen
I guess I'll tease him gently

Cho Cho San:
Calling Madam Butterfly
His angel plucked right from the sky
Hide my baby in mystic places
I feel the fear that I might die

Right in his arms and embraces
Softly kissing my eyelashes
Got no right no right to doubt it
Ain't no doubt no doubt about it

Call me fool! Call me stupid!
Bend this arrow kil this cupid
I have faith I'll always pray
My white honkey's here to stay

Chorus

Calling Butterfly, Madam Butterfly
Butterfly, Butterfly have no fear
I'll be back to wipe your tears
Oh sweet Butterfly, so sweet Butterfly
She's waiting
I'll wait for him with unshakable faith
He'll be back

I posted this in the Holly Jolly thread, and i suspect your listeners here might enjoy it, too, Miss Lettybettyhettygetty . . .

Lacy things, the wife is missin'
Didn't ask, her permission
I'm wearin' her clothes
Her silk pantyhose
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

In the store, there's a teddy
Little straps, like spaghetti
It holds me so tight
Like handcuffs at night
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

In the office there's a guy named Melvin,
He pretends that I am Murphy Brown
He'll say, "Are you ready?" I'll say, "Whoa Man!"
"Let's wait until our wives are out of town!"

Later on, if you wanna
We can dress, like Madonna
Put on some eyeshade
And join the parade
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

Lacy things- missin'
Didn't ask- permission
Wearin' her clothes
Silk pantyhose
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

Good morning WA2K radio folks. Feeling a little better today, especially when I hear what all you folks play.

Brit, my favorite by you was Zac Brown's Toes. Every wonder what the converse of his "...ass in the sand..." might be? Razz Had no idea that Tina did a James Bond song. Thanks, buddy, for the introduction.

Hurry back, edgar. Always miss you here.

Setanta, Loved that Women's Underware song. Thanks, Irish.

Well, today is Rich Little's birthday and I just found out he is a Canuck. Tried my best to find the trailer to his Christmas Carol with no luck.

Here's another birthday girl that I don't know, but let's listen, shall we?
