Nice one by Leon and Elton.
Naturally I enjoyed Try to Remember. The album Harry and Nana made together was made recorded after I quit buying every single new album Harry appeared on. For one, I never saw it in a record store when I had a few dollars to spend.
This afternoon I am sailing

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, Texas. I knew that you would like the Witch song and Bach is always good.

I have always loved sir Elton and Leon Russell. Glad that you do as well. I figured that you'd like NaNa and Harry.

I really adore Rod's Sailing song. Thanks!

Another one about sailing by The Beautiful South, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
I was taken with the Beautiful South's version, edgar, because the man who introduced them pronounced "out" just as I do.

Actually, that version done by Jerry Lee was the melody that I was looking for. Hank Williams did that one as well.

Here's a lovely boat song by The Corries.

Moon Mullican was the artist that introduced I'll Sail My Ship Alone, letty. But it was covered by Hank and several artists besides.
That's a good boat song, letty. Here is one by Styx.

@edgarblythe,
Love that one by Styx, edgar, but I never think of their name that I don't think of Charon. Thanks for the info on the Moon man.

@Letty,
Sorry to be away so long. My wife was feeling bad and resting. I did not want the sounds to bother her.
Here is a trailer for a Blackbeard movie.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar. I hope Ms Blythe is okay.

Love the trailer on Blackbeard. Fabulous,Texas. In the Early Morning Rain by the Kingston Trio was a great one as well.

Speaking of trailers, It's Cornel Wilde's birthday, and I finally found the trailer about Chopin.

And, from Mr. Como, English lyrics to another Chopin song.

Cornel Wild was a dashing figure, even at the piano.
Til the End of Time is in my opinion one of Perry's best performances.

Elton and Leon.

written by: Leon Russell
Piano and vocals: Leon Russell
Electric bass: Drew Lambert
Backing vocals: Tanya Balam, Bill Cantos, Alfie Silas Durio, Judith Hill, Kellye Huff, Perry Morgan, Tiffany Smith, Rose Stone, Tata Vega, Jean Witherspoon

Well I could have been sick
I could have died
I could have given up
And not tried
To make it to tomorrow
Like a broken hearted lover
But there was a brand new start
And suddenly I was taken
New and faraway places
And the music I was shaken
It was a whole new race
When I woke on that first day
There was nothing I could say
I was in the hands of angels
Johnny and the governor
Came and brought me to my senses
They made me feel just like a king
Made me lose all my bad defenses
And they knew all the places
I needed to go
All of the people
I needed to know
They knew who I needed
And who needed me
And who would come help me
And who would just let me be
I was in the hands of angels
Until this very day
Inside the hands of angels
What more can I say
When you're in the hands of angels
Life is oh so sweet
And you feel the love
Down deep inside
Even out there on the street
In the hands of angels..............

Good day, WA2K folks. Still dark here, but the sun will be up soon.

edgar, loved your goodnight song. The BeeGees More Than a Woman was great from Saturday Night Fever. Thanks again for your comments.

Hey, Brit. Thanks for the introduction to Cliff Richard's Living Doll. Great voice and the visuals were hilarious.

If It Wasn't for Bad by Elton and Leon was, of course, excellent. Love those two.

Will have to check out Chris and Julie later. Also your additional one by Leon and Elton. Haven't the proper equipment in my wee studio.

Thinking of Eric Berne today. He was correct in his "transactional analysis"

Two songs for the morning. First, one of my favs by Leon.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNnGUnu5JhI

and another that fits his psychology, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Odd, edgar, I had that song in my head this afternoon. Yes, that is a beautiful version of I Believe. Roy Hamilton is awesome.

Quote for today:

The moment a little boy is concerned with which is a jay and which is a sparrow, he can no longer see the birds or hear them sing.
Eric Berne

Here's a history lesson from Billy Joel, y'all. Smile

@edgarblythe,
I didn't know Bobby did that one, edgar. We camped with a guy named Bill Bailey, and I was always teasing him by singing that one. Thanks, Texas, for the great memory.

Remember payola? I think Arthur got this guy in trouble as a result of it, but I'm not certain.

Julius is still with us.
