Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, Thanks again for your comments. Loved The Kingston Trio's Greenback Dollar. Hurry back, buddy. Frankly, I don't think the greenback gives a damn about us, either. Smile

Mooseman, Let it Be by Ray was wonderful. Reminds me of yitwail. Hope he's all right.

Hey, Brit. Followed your instructions, and it worked. Love that song from Miss Iz and Les miz. Smile

Ah, "the boss". Save my Love was great. Thanks, hun.

Early morning song from a celeb whose birthday is today, y'all.

@RexRed,
Well, T-Rex our Brit is down and gone with Bring Him Home and The Fab Four, but Lionel Richie's Angel was great.

When I was a kid, I read this book by Thor Heyerdahl, but had to do some research on the other guy in this tribute.

Tim Severin (born 1940) is a British explorer, historian and writer. Severin is noted for his work in retracing the legendary journeys of historical figures. Severin was awarded both the Gold Medal of the Royal Geographical Society and the Livingstone Medal of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society. He received the Thomas Cook Travel Book Award for his 1982 book The Sinbad Voyage.

The reason that I read the book was because the Kon Tiki adventure included the sighting of "sea monsters". I tried building a raft and did rather well. Smile

A tribute to both these adventurers, y'all.

Happy birthday Thor

@edgarblythe,
Afternoon, y'all. Hey, Rock. Loved Ray doing Eleanor (better add Rigby or there might me a misconception. Smile)

Ah, edgar. Jim Reeves' voice is perfect for Annabel Lee. Great! Thanks for the comment. I only know the Commodores, buddy.

How about some Omar!

Come, fill the Cup, and in the fire of Spring
Your Winter-garment of Repentance fling.
The Bird of Time has but a little way
To fly and lo the bird is on the wing!

It's interesting to see how the Persian music and poetry is put together.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! I don't understand those lyrics, edgar, but I liked the song. Did I hear chop sticks in there somewhere?

Yes, buddy. Persian and Omar are delightful.

@Rockhead,
I don't know what Manfred was saying, either, letty. I just like the way the song sounds. The one you followed up with is another good one.

Rock, I like Boy George's singing.

Hey, mooseman. I had forgotten about Boy George. Don't know which kid you mean, however.

Boy George (born George Alan O'Dowd on 14 June 1961) is a British singer-songwriter who was part of the English New Romantic movement which emerged in the early 1980s. He helped give androgyny an international stage with the success of Culture Club during the 1980s. His music is often classified as blue-eyed soul, which is influenced by rhythm and blues and reggae. His 1990s and 2000s-era solo music has glam influences such as David Bowie and Iggy Pop. He also founded and was lead singer of Jesus Loves You during the period 1989–1992. Being involved in many activities (among them songwriting, DJing, writing books, designing clothes and photography), he has released fewer music recordings in the last decade.

On 11 May 2009, Boy George was released from prison at HMP Edmunds Hill in Newmarket, Suffolk, four months into a fifteen-month sentence for the assault and false imprisonment of a male escort, in his East London flat. He was tagged and placed on a curfew for the balance of the sentence.

In December 2009, Boy George had a successful run of concerts at the Leicester Square Theatre in London's West End.

Thanks for that Karma song, buddy.

edgar, I appreciate your remarks once again. Walter Brennan's prayer was awesome.

"Fall on your knees; O hear the angels voices"

Yep, our East Indian friends believe in karma and so does John.

@Rockhead,
I know that one Rockymoose. Tell Laura I Love Her is great.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with more Omar.

There are no visuals on this one by Mario, so we'll create some, y'all.
