@edgarblythe,
Just heard via Merry Andrew that Eddie Fisher has died at the age of 82, edgar. Thanks for your comments and the song Cindy oh Cindy.

I got a little ahead of myself, because today is the 24th. Sorry, folks.

Anyone remember Kevin Sorbo? He used to do Hercules. Here is a tribute to him on his birthday.

edgar, I loved Take my Hand for Awhile by Glen. Didn't know that Buffy did that one, Texas.

Hey, mooseman. Fantastic street dance improper or not. Thanks for the afternoon smile. Believe it or not, a bunch of us used to do street dancing, but it was, of course, proper. Smile

Today is Jim Henson's birthday, so here's a tribute to the man who made so many people happy.

At one time, muppets were everywhere, to the point I began to avoid them. These days, the balance is about right, so I can appreciate them again.
Got a nice little tune as we go into the afternoon -

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for the comment, edgar. Don't you remember The Muppets doing The Rainbow Connection?

Wow! I only heard that one by Les Paul and Mary Ford. Thanks, buddy.

I don't remember much about this man, but today is his birthday so here's a tribute to Phil Hartman.

@Letty,
My favorite version of the World is Waiting for the Sunrise is by Don Gibson, but it is not on youtube.
I saw a few things with Phil Hartman that made me laugh. They still rerun his TV show here.
But, speaking of funny

@edgarblythe,
Yes, Rockman. He was nuts. What an untimely demise.

edgar, Homer and Jethro were not only funny, they were great musicians as well. Love We Didn't Sink the Bismark, especially Tony saying in response to the query: Is that a U-Boat? It's not a my boat. Smile

How about Billy Joel with a weekend song, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
That's a great one by The Cure, edgar. Don't know them, but It's Friday I'm in Love is a happy song. Thanks, buddy.

Well, not such a happy one, because today is Linda McCartney's birthday and she died of breast cancer. Did NOT know that.

Here's a tribute to her by Paul.

@edgarblythe,
Great one, edgar. I was a teenage Steve McQueen. Loved that guy and I think that we have announced this before on our cyber radio, but he did the FIRST Thomas Crown Affair.

It's the glider that may have inspired Windmills of your mind.

Another great guy is returning as well. Guess who?

Tom Selleck Says 'Three Men' Sequel in the Works
September 24, 2010 | Celebrity Highlights

Actor Tom Selleck visited "Extra's" Mario Lopez at The Grove and said a third installment of the "Three Men" franchise is in development, to be called "Three Men and a Bride."

"It's real. Disney is developing a script. They're waiting until they get it just right," Selleck revealed. "It's a great idea. I know Ted Danson, Steve Guttenberg and I all feel the same way -- the franchise was so good to us. We want it to be a good story and good script. If it's that, we are all onboard."

I did not know "Windmills" was from that film, letty. Just assumed it was from some play I have not seen.

@edgarblythe,
I love Stevie Wonder, edgar, especially Cherie Amour.

Many folks think that Pierce Brosman did the first Thomas Crown Affair.

Danny Kaye did this first, but here we have it by Ed. From Wonder to Wander.

@Letty,
I have never seen either version of Thomas Crown Affair. So, my ignorance is doubled. Smile
I have always loved Ed Ames' singing. I never knew his brother's name, but I like the two of them together, also.

Here is somebody else that I like as much as Ed.

Love that one by Jerry Butler, edgar. I'm guilty of not knowing him, but he is great.

From one prisoner to another, Perry Como.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! I had forgotten about Gene Tierney, edgar. Laura was beautifully done by Carly.

You sent me to the archives again, and I found out that Gene was given shock therapy for mental instability. What awful things they did to people in mental institutions.

This is the first song that I heard by Carly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=js8YE7uZFUY

No one is quite certain who the man was in that song.
