Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, really enjoyed your goodnight song by The Dave Matthews Band, and glad you're in your places with bright shiny faces. Smile

Hey, Brit. Sorry you have to work this weekend. You won't get to celebrate Columbus Day.

Love that one by Sir Elton. He's right, too.

Although your song Still a Weirdo was good it is so NOT you, London.

Hmmm, your cuckoo would not cuck, buddy. Will try later to listen.

Here is one that does, however.

and a tribute to a birthday boy. Love Jose cause he knows the way.

@Letty,
Light My Fire was a huge hit. Still is, actually. Originally by The Doors, but Jose probably sold more records.

I don't know a lot about the other song, but I enjoy the piano.

Here is The Doors

@edgarblythe,
Hey, Texas. For a moment there, I thought Igor had damaged our communication signal. Smile

Don't know that by The Doors, buddy. I was shocked to find out that they did People are Strange from the movie the Lost Boys.

Glad to see you back in our studio, 'cause I had something to play for our listeners. First, Mr. Tambourine Man by Dylan and them Byrds.

http://il.youtube.com/watch?v=LpDiYhchOgM&feature=related

Now, Mr Bojangles by Robbie Williams.

That Cuckoo song was one that I learned to play reading the notes instead of doing it by ear.

Had to google Robbie Williams. He does that song pretty well.
Dylan and The Byrds - That one takes me back. Mr T can be read as poetry.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! That was a great one, edgar, and I had to check out Jeff. What a sad story. Drowned at thirty years of age. This is a surprise, too.

The Last Goodbye: A musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet which has been conceived and adapted by Michael Kimmel uses music and lyrics by Jeff Buckley. It received a staged reading at Joe's Pub in Manhattan after which Jeff Buckley's mother, who has control of the estate, gave the go ahead for production which opened on August 5th at the Williamstown Theater Festival in Williamstown MA.

Another one by Robbie Williams. Love this guy's voice.

It's nice to see there are young artists keeping that kind of singing alive.

edgar, had no idea that Bobby did Won't You Come Home Bill Bailey. Great one, Texas.

alex, welcome back. Don't know Coco Rosie, so I went searching.

CocoRosie is a musical group formed in 2003 by sisters Bianca "Coco" and Sierra "Rosie" Casady. The sisters were born and raised in the United States, but formed the band in Paris after meeting for the first time in years. Their music has been called "freak folk", and incorporates elements of pop, blues, opera, electronica, and hip hop.

That was a tender song. Thanks, buddy.

Here's another new voice for our cyber radio, folks, but first some info.

Cincotti started playing a toy piano at the age of three. While in high school, he regularly performed at clubs throughout Manhattan and performed at the White House. At the 2000 Montreux Jazz Festival, he won an award for a rendition of Dizzy Gillespie's "A Night in Tunisia." In 2002, he reached No. 1 on the Billboard Traditional jazz Charts, the youngest solo artist to do so to date.

Cincotti appeared in a small role in the 2004 Bobby Darin biopic Beyond the Sea and contributed to the film's soundtrack. He also had a small role as the Piano Player in the Haden Planetarium in Spider-Man 2. His song "December Boys" is featured in the 2007 film December Boys, starring Daniel Radcliffe.

His self-titled debut album is a compilation of traditional jazz songs, while his second album, On the Moon, featured some of the artist's own songs. His latest work, East of Angel Town, features all original works by the artist and was released in 2007 in Europe and in January 2009 in USA.

This new work began when Cincotti teamed up with producer David Foster (who signed him to a new contract on his Reprise/Warner Bros.-distributed 143 Records), producer Humberto Gatica, and producer/sound designer Jochem van der Saag

Now, his song.

Good early morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, This Bitter Earth by Dinah Washington was fabulous. Thanks for that great goodnight song.

Hey, Brit. She's a grand old lady alright, and that halo that surrounds her makes the Discovery a special angel.

Oops, your Temptations song Get Ready got me going this morning. Love that song, buddy, and thanks for the stimulus.

Today is Harry Connick's birthday, and he's right about this, y'all.

@Letty,
Harry is another singer who is preserving for us a kind of music I once feared would die. Good song.
Here is a record I have liked for a long time. It's by Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger and Trinity

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for the comment, edgar. Don't know Julie Driscoll nor Brian Auger's Wheels on Fire, but it was superb. Thanks for the introduction, Texas.

Inspired by your song, I recall this one. It was based on this poem.

Jerusalem

AND did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?

And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark Satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold:
Bring me my arrows of desire:
Bring me my spear: O clouds unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire.

I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.

I did not see Chariots of Fire, but always liked the theme music. I just read that Charleson was 40 when he died.

edgar, I love "...The Good Old Days.." by the Judds. Thanks for that one, buddy.

Today is Mickey Hart's birthday, and although I don't know too much about him, I like this song where he plays the drums.
