Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar and mooseman, loved both of those song by Kris, and the one with Rita was awesome. Thanks, guys.

Where's our hingehead. Wanted to tell him that I ate out at the Outback restaurant last evening, and as always the food and service was fantastic.

Wonder about Barry the Brit as well.

Two songs for the morning, y'all.

First, since it is Labor Day here, a work song by another Nat.

and another gypsy violin. Smile

@Letty,
Letty, just stopping by to say "Hi." It's been way too long since I've posted and way too long since we have talked. My fault, procrastination is my middle name, plus lots has been happening. Busy, busy.

Love ya.

I promise get busy posting songs again.

@Dutchy,
Welcome back to our cosmic eagle. Well, you and I aren't exactly new kids on the block, but let's pretend that we are, ok?

@Letty,
I know and like Nat's work song, letty.
I like the one from Sun Valley film - was curious to know who sang on that one.

@edgarblythe,
Great one by Townes, edgar. Colorado Girl is good. Here's another girl, Texas, and thanks again for your comments on what we play here on our cyber radio.

I don't know who did that song from Sun Valley Serenade either. I just wanted to get those gypsy violins in there.

The Temptations (and Motown music in general) are among my wife's all-time favorites.

@edgarblythe,
Great painting by "the jester", edgar. Haven't heard In a Station by The Band, but it was great, too. It's obvious that wifey has good taste, Texas.Smile

You know this one, of course. I think they're saying, "...take a load off Annie.."

The Weight is on Music From Big Pink album also. I bought the album the first week it appeared, in Kansas City. I fell in love with it on the first hearing. My brother Sam, who was living with me, said he did not like the group. He mentioned how their voices are not perfectly together, the way good singers like the Beatles do it. It did no good to point out that was just the style of the one album and that they were much different on succeeding albums.

@edgarblythe,
Love, love, love Matt Monroe, edgar. No wonder that English is a difficult language to learn. Think of all the homonyms. Well, Tom waits. Smile

I enjoy Tom Waits, letty. I sometimes skip over him, but I want to take this opportunity to recognize the great man he is.

Dear Janis, edgar. My sister and I use to sing Careless Love and this one together. Amazing how they blend.
