@Letty,
I forget about Andy Russell, letty. He is really good, too.
For a long time, I had quit listening to country music, because, listening to the radio, it had got to where, to me, they all sounded alike. I finally began to hear some that broke from the pack. George Strait is one of the best.
Got an oddity now:

Good morning. I am up early to go to the job. Got to meet with the owners, who are here from California. They want to give the place a general inspection and have a look at the new siding installed by contractors.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning WA2K radio folks.

edgar, first let me say I love that song by Elvis's grandfather. I know that, but it's another, don't know why kinda thing.

Heigh Ho Silver. Never hear the William Tell Overture that I don't think of Victor Borge playing it upside down. Thanks, Texas.

A couple of songs for Sunday morning. First a spiritual that I love and this is dedicated to Izzie and her family. Hope it helps.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I love that song. I always wanted to be a gypsy when I was a kid. I guess that is why I wear gold loop earrings to this day.

Don't know that one, but I can see in my mind a gypsy rover coming over the hill.

Thanks, Texas. I don't know the whole story behind this incident, but I understand that France is deporting Romanian gypsies and that has caused a giant protest.

Here is another gypsy song; just the instrumental.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I didn't know that Nat did that one. Who is the group singing with him? Great. Thanks, Texas.

This is so weird. I was looking for one thing and found this.

The Gypsies are pretty interesting people, all right. I like the violins.
I have Golden Earrings on vinyl by both Peggy Lee and Bobby Darin. I know I have heard Willie's version.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! Didn't know Leonard Cohen did that one, edgar. He is always different! Thanks for the introduction to The Gypsy's Wife.

I know that Van Morrison did this one, but couldn't find his version. Here's a guy that does it right, however.
