@Izzie,
It is my best guess that letty simply needed a break and will soon be coming back to us. I like that Pink Floyd music, izzie.

Thank you all for your contributions, and a special appreciation for our edgar who always keeps our radio station on the air.

Tomorrow, I will acknowledge each wonderful song played here.

Must say goodnight early as it's been one of those "returns" of the many happy type.Smile

Discovered this great duo, so first a little info on them:

Santo & Johnny were an Italian-American rock and roll duo from Brooklyn, comprising brothers Santo and Johnny Farina. They are best known for their instrumental "Sleep Walk," which became a regional hit and eventually reached #1 on the pop charts when it was released nationally. At present, Santo is semi-retired and Johnny currently tours and records new material with his own band. Johnny is also the president of Aniraf, Inc., an international record company based in New York.

Good morning, WA2K folks. For some reason, I couldn't use my daughter's pc. It was different.

Nice to see ehBeth and Cyracuz back with us.

Loved everything that you played, edgar, and Rock's Dark Side of the Moon was great.

Always good to see dys here as well. The song about the bird was perfect.

Hey, Miss pretty in pink Izzie. You always play what we like to hear. I especially enjoyed Norah's Thinking.

Good to see T-Rex as well and listen to what he played on our little radio station.

Forgive me if I don't name each song, y'all, but I listened to all of them. Also hope that I didn't miss anyone here.

Two songs for this Florida morning. First, it's Chris Tucker's birthday and I love that guy. Here's one by him and Jackie Chan.

(How to say y'all)

Don't know if anyone remembers William Saroyan, but he was required reading in undergrad college for me. Today is his birthday.

He was Armenian and should you like, check him out.

Beautiful architecture in this Armenian church.

A poem to Armenia, folks.

Happy Birthday William. We'll never forget you nor the horror of the destruction of a marvelous culture.

A song from Norway. I wrote it myself, and when I get famous I'll come and play it for you Wink It's a kind of jazzy pop ballad that sounds best on the piano.

Goldhearts

I set out once upon a time
To steal her heart, but she stole mine
Said it was a fairytale
But stories do not end this way
So I must be without a doubt
The saddest thief to roam the night
Looking not for pity
I have it in me

To steal this heart of gold
To steal her love

So now I am a warring man
Cause I can't seem to understand
That what's achieved through might and steel
Can't compare to how it feels to hold

This heart of gold
To hold her love

So I leave sadness in my wake
And what I do want I do take
It's become an industry
There are no tears left in me
But maybe when I'm grey and old
And when I hear my story told
I can begin to see
The truth about this mystery

That love can be given, sold and bought
And love can be hidden, found and lost
But never stolen
No one can steal a heart of gold
But never stolen
No one can steal love

I set out once upon a time
To steal her heart but she stole mine
Said it was a fairytale
But stories do not end this way....

All the best from Norway!
Letty

@Cyracuz,
Cyracuz, those lyrics are beautiful. Love the title as well, buddy. I'm still thinking of you in New York. Let us know sometimes about your trip there.

Yep, When you are famous, come and play that jazz ballad for me. In the interim, here is one for you. Remember, Norway?
