@edgarblythe,
Wow! Didn't know Jimmie Rodgers did that one, edgar. Love T for Texas.

How about some Red Foley. Love this song. It makes me want to dance.

@edgarblythe,
I know Humpty Dumpty Heart, edgar. I have an sos out to my older sister to try and discover why I know the Shoe Shine Boy song.

Here's an unlikely duo, folks.

Nothing from my sister, but many, many people have done that song that I played by Red Foley. I know my mom loved his Peace in the Valley.

Saying goodnight with a song written by Eubie Blake replete with lyrics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0Sogh1NzEU&feature=related

Waking skies - at sunrise
Every sunset too
Seems to be - bringing me
Memories of you

Here and there - every where
Scenes that we once knew
And they all - just recall
Memories of you

How I wish I could forget those, happy yesteryears
That have left a rosary of tears

Your face beams - in my dreams
In Spite of all I do
Everything - seems to bring
Memories of you

Goodnight, world

From Letty with love

Well, Eddy was called the country Frank Sinatra in his hey day. He and Dean go together pretty well. I had forgotten Eubie Blake.

Morning Ms Letty,Ed and all WA2K peeps.Remember when you've heard a song for the very first time that has that certain "something"and you've just GOT to listen to it and find out who sings it,because,although the radio was on,it was being used as background music?.It happened last Monday as we were just pulling out of Tesco's car park in Lewisham.Izzie didn't know who was singing either.This was the track....

Rumer - Slow.

Born in Pakistan and raised in Australia, Tasmania, South Africa and the U.K., this soulful songstress sure has an interesting background. Her smooth voice and slow songs are sure to make this Pakistani-British singer a hit on the scene!
This track "Slow",from her album Seasons Of My Soul, is "about being obsessive in a new relationship. It's a love song, but it's unrequited love, and the chorus has that Greek Chorus effect, advising me not to fall in love too fast."

@Barry The Mod,
Hey, Brit. Don't know that soulful lady, but she is one helluva vocalist. Loved the visuals as well. Thanks for the introduction. Her background is amazing as well. Slow is a great song, but we all know that unrequited love is only for the young who enjoy being love lorn at times. I know I did. I used to love listening to Nat's "Answer Me Oh My Love" and feeling rejected. Smile

Here's another new birthday boy that new to me, but really great.

A little background, folks.

Tobias Regner (born August 5, 1982 in Teisendorf, Bavaria) is a German singer, songwriter and musician who has enjoyed success in the rock music genre. Regner made his debut under major label Sony BMG Domestic after he won the highly publicized third season of the television series Deutschland sucht den Superstar, the German version of Pop Idol, in 2006

edgar, I love Eubie Blake and I know him only because my old friend, Roy Yost played that one on his trumpet.

good morning. I am posting from the office at my job. After six unsuccessful tries to log on at home, I gave it up. The part I need has to come by mail, so I am waiting. May be on later today. Don't know yet. This computer is so old that when you click a youtube, it posts a notice that tells you it can't even try.

That's one of my favorite Nat songs, letty. I have it on a CD.
I was thinking of the play, Hair while at work, so came home to listen.

@edgarblythe,
Love those initials from Hair, edgar. Thanks for the memory.

Here is another from Hair in Dutch with English lyrics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AULJ_2zYdIg&feature=related

How can people be so heartless
How can people be so cruel
Easy to be hard
Easy to be cold

How can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
Easy to be proud
Easy to say no

And especially people
Who care about strangers
Who care about evil
And social injustice
Do you only
Care about the bleeding crowd?
How about a needing friend?
I need a friend

How can people be so heartless
You know I'm hung up on you
Easy to give in
Easy to help out

And especially people
Who care about strangers
Who say they care about social injustice
Do you only
Care about the bleeding crowd
How about a needing friend?
I need a friend

How can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
Easy to be hard
Easy to be cold
Easy to be proud
Easy to say no

That's a great one, too. I like all but about one song from the original production - I don't really care for Lost in Space.

Here is a lively one before I sign out. Likely I will come back to this computer later on for a short while. It is really used for business, but occasional exceptions are made.

edgar is probably having trouble with his equipment again, so I'll say goodnight with an actor that I had such a crush on as a kid.

@alex240101,
Welcome back, dear Alex. Love that song by Neil. I think he was inspired by this lady when he wrote and sang Sweet Caroline.

Today is this man's birthday, so here is a tribute to him, y'all.
