Thanks, beth. letty, your Spanish song made me think of Emilio. Emilio is from Houston. He is very successful. A while back, he crashed his tour bus and it was questionable if he would ever perform again. But, last week, he made his return.

Good morning WA2K folks.

edgar, Emilio was great and I'm glad that he is performing again.

Hey Brit. Good afternoon. Couldn't get Mose to play for us here. Maybe later?

Well, This is a serenade, but I love it, so let's listen to Julio.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Y5ikAyE64Y&feature=related

and the lyrics, y'all.

My dear, la paloma sings in the tree above;
He sings with his sweetheart softly their songs of love;
Canta, la paloma sing us the serenade.
Canta, en la noche sweetly your serenade.

Fiesta is here, we smile and guitars are playing;
Breezes are blowing, as we are gently swaying.
La paloma, the dove,
La paloma sings on this summer night;
He coos, oh, so gently,
He coos so gently, under the stars so bright!
(Interlude)
Fiesta is here, senoritas and hombres dancing;
Guitars softly playing, making the night entrancing;
Our hearts fill with love, we wish this could last forever;
This magical time that brings all our hearts together.
La paloma, the dove, la paloma sings in the tree above.
He sings with his sweetheart softly their songs of love

@edgarblythe,
What shall we do with a drunken sailor, edgar?

Give him a hair of the dog. Smile

This music is enough to sober him up, however.

@edgarblythe,
I don't blame your dog for leavin' the room. Smile

Love Teach Your Children by them, edgar.

Perhaps we had better teach our dogs, Texas.

I was careful to lower the sound before that one started, since she had just followed me in and laid down.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! That lead singer sounds like a man, Texas. Leave my Man Alone? You know what bollox means in cockney Brit, right? Smile Really like the Raelettes, however.

An answer from Lady Day, y'all.

Will return shortly to listen to The Sidewalks of New York.

And the Lady Day song is the first song I heard from her. I had always known that she wrote God Bless the Child, but I had not heard her voice. In those days, her music was not worth much, commercially. They had issued one of those cheap Coronet label recordings of several of her songs. That song was the first track. Of course her popularity came back and then there was the movie that pushed her fame even higher.

@edgarblythe,
Love that one by Etta, edgar. I understand what she means by Sunday Kind of Love.

Hey, Etta, I want to talk to the animals. Louis and his gravely voice does as well.

I always talked to my animals; bet most of us here did.

Very few creatures here now. Just the white egrets and a squirrel or two. We need RAIN!

Terrible new item, y'all.
