@edgarblythe,
That was from the movie Titanic, edgar. Kate Winslet sang it.

Come Josephine in my flying machine
Going up she goes! Up she goes!
Balance yourself like a bird on a beam
In the air she goes! There she goes!
Up, up, a little bit higher
Oh! My! The moon is on fire
Come Josephine in my flying machine
Going up, all on, Goodbye!

Thanks for the soundtrack from Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Know that song, Texas.

@edgarblythe,
My word, edgar, I had no idea that Harry sang I'll Ride an Old Paint. He was a multi talented performer.

I don't remember Kate doing this one either. I wonder if the scene may have been cut.

Don't know if everyone gets the SyFy channel, but they have been exploring again. The Mayan Calender; the crystal skulls; the Bermuda triangle. Amazing stuff.

I get what my little antenna brings in. Sometimes good reception, but not always.
I believe I remember that last from Titanic.

@edgarblythe,
I recall the Dave Clark five, but not Catch us If you Can, Texas. I do remember Glad All Over, however.

I remember this train, however. Smile

I don't recall who had Catch Us if You Can first. The Monkeys also had it. Last Train is in my opinion, one of their best songs. Daydream Believer is the other.

@edgarblythe,
I recall your having introduced us to Sophie B. Hawkins, edgar. I think I noted that the ragged jeans look was back in style. Stunned to find that she painted.

Liked that song, buddy.

Here's another birthday boy. Never heard him, but he's good.

Time for me to say goodnight, and since today is Roger McGuinn's birthday, I think that I shall do so with a Byrd song.

All I can hear is a chorus of frogs.

Nice to see London and Paris with us today.

Goodnight world,

From Letty with love

@Letty,
Sorry to be away so l,ong. I like the Johnny Klegg video.
The song the Byrds did is true poetry set to music. Correction - Roger and his pals.
Think I may take this as my signature song

Morning Ms Letty,Ed,Msr F and all WA2K peeps.Kicking off with a bit of reggae.
The Honourable Jimmy Cliff, OM (born James Chambers; 1 April 1948) is a Jamaican ska and reggae singer, musician and actor. He is the only current living musician to hold the Order of Merit, the highest honour that can be granted by the Jamaican government for achievement in the arts and sciences. He is best known among mainstream audiences for songs such as "Sitting in Limbo", "You Can Get It If You Really Want", "We all are one" and "Many Rivers to Cross" from the soundtrack to the movie The Harder They Come which helped popularize reggae across the world; and his covers of Cat Stevens' "Wild World" and Johnny Nash's "I Can See Clearly Now"....

Habbaitak Bissayf

"I loved you in summer"

Lyrics: Rahbani Brothers
Music adapted by Rahbani Brothers from the French song, 'Coupable d'oublier'.

In the cold days in winter, when the sidewalk is a lake, and the street is drowned ,this girl has come from her old house to await him.

He told her to wait, but he has gone away and forgotten and she withers away in winter.

I have loved you in summertime, I have loved you in winter.I awaited you in summertime,I awaited you in winter. Your eyes are summer, my eyes are winter and our rendezvous my love is beyond summer and beyond winter.

The strange one passed by and gave me a message my lover had written with his tears.I opened the message,whose letters were lost and days passed.Years estranged us,while winter had erased the letters of the message .

@Letty,
It was a deleted scene....
http://www.fanpop.com/spots/titanic/videos/2096911/title/titanic-deleted-scene-come-josephine
but,just before Rose let Jack go whilst floating on that big piece of wood,she looked up at the stars and softly sang....
"Come Josephine in my flying machine
Up she goes. Up she goes.
Come Josephine in my flying"
Seconds later Jack was heading South.
I love Titanic!

Good morning, WA2K radio folks.

edgar, Love that one by Paul. Yep, I am too, but it's a nice sort of crazy.

Hey, Brit, Don't know Jimmy Cliff, but I love reggae, buddy. Thanks for the introduction.

Fairaz was lovely, and thanks for the translation. The romance languages are pleasing to the ear. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you have to do is call, and I'll be there. Prefer James Taylor attitude rather than the lady who was rejected.

Guilty? Love that one by Ella, Francis. Glad that she didn't do the scat bit.

Speaking of Michael Caine, Here is my favorite about him, y'all.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcJYeC6cwAM&feature=related

I thought that one might have been deleted, Brit. Thanks for the verification.

Hurry back, edgar.

Alfie was a good film. Thanks for clearing up the Titanic question. That would explain how I missed it.

A very young Bob Dylan was at times referred to as the poor man's Ramblin Jack.

@edgarblythe,
Love that one by Ramblin Jack and Pete Seeger, edgar. Bob Dylan, a poor man's Ramblin' Jack? Amazing, Texas.

Today is Daryl Hannah's birthday, so here's a mermaid for you, not so certain that she could replace Anne Blythe, however.

Here is that other mermaid.
