Pet Shop Boys - Did You See Me Coming?

Did you see me coming?
Was I that obvious
For all of a sudden
There were just two of us

You don't have to be in Who's Who
to know what's what
You don't have to be a high flier
to catch your slot
The night we met was cold and wet
I needed a drink or two
I saw you standing there and I knew
I'd like to be loved by you

Did you see me coming?
Was I that obvious
For all of a sudden
There were just two of us

You don't have to be what's what
to know who's who
You don't need the DNA
to find the proof
Then and there my life made sense
You were the evidence

Did you see me coming?
Was I that obvious
For all of a sudden
There were just two of us

Did you see me coming
I thought I'd have to make
All of the running
I was all yours to take...

I'm not superstitious
Or really religious
Just to thyself be true
But now I think I'm starting
to believe in fate
Because it delivered you...

Did you see me coming?
Was I that obvious
For all of a sudden
There were just two of us

Did you see me coming?
I thought I'd have to make
All of the running
I was all yours to take

Did you see me coming?
Was I that obvious
For all of a sudden
There were just the two of us

Morning, Bazza

You know about stuff I just haven't an earthly about.

But that's good.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar loved Crystal's Brown Eyes Blue and your goodnight song by The Platters was great. Rather surprised that you didn't acknowledge Ed Ames, however.

Hey, Brit. Great one by Neil Tennant. Glad you do the lyrics bit, it helps a lot.

McTag, hope you had a great birthday, and I really liked that photo of you and fionaB.

Another birthday boy, y'all.

Arlo

@Izzie,
Izzie, I love that song. Often, saying nothing is the most powerful response that one can give.

Diana says it a different way!

I looked for a good night from you, letty, but it slipped by me in the end. You know I am a big fan of Ed Ames. I know and like both of his songs.
To my knowledge, Arlo did City of New Orleans first. I know his version beat Willie's by perhaps three years.
Thanks for Diana Krall. She certainly is a busy lady.

Not too familiar with Said It All and Pet Shop Boys, but their songs are good ones.

Nobody would record He Stopped Loving Her Today, until the author added the final verse. Razz

edgar, that was lovely. The most important part of any relationship is being a friend. That one by Don Williams said it right.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Dr. Hook knows whereof he speaks. Just think of all those beautiful women who never knew if men loved them for themselves or for how they looked.

Elizabeth Taylor comes to mind.

Yep, it doesn't hurt to give it another try as Chris LeDoux observed.

Unrequited love is for teenagers who enjoy being love sick.

How about this one, then.

Oops, missed the Brit with his advice. Smile
