Morning Ms Letty,Ed,Francis and all WA2K folks.Starting at the Music News desk -
It's not often that you get something for nothing these days,unless that is,your a fan of Prince.His last album came inside a Sunday newspaper and he's doing it again....

Prince announces new album giveaway
"Prince has announced that he will be giving away his new album in a national newspaper.

Copies of 20Ten will be available in The Mirror and Daily Record on July 10.

The singer first released an album through a newspaper with 2007's Planet Earth, causing anger among high street retailers.

Prince's spokeswoman Kiran Sharma said that the deal shows "it is still possible for artists to work in an independent and innovative capacity".

The new album is said to have 'strong funk and new wave elements' ".

An old fave of mine....

More quiet time this morning. Kids are asleep and we are to have two days of fireworks and celebration here on the ocean.

edgar, I know that song I'm Not in Love by 10cc. Love it, and thanks to you and our Brit for keeping us on the air.

As I Lay me down was great as well although I don't know that one by Sophie. You know how I enjoy Harry, and Didn't it rain by his folk singers was fabulous. The Old King Cole song reminded me of Nat, of course. Thanks, Texas.

Ah, Brit, Raspberry Beret created a real picture in my mind and Nell Bryden's Second Time Around reminded of another song that was more positive. Once again your report on space travel was fantastic. Oops, the Russians goofed this time around.

Two songs for the early morning, y'all.

Two birthday boys.

First Pete Fountain.

Now, George M.

He wasn't really born on the fourth of July.

I really appreciate Cohen. Cagney's interpretation of him makes me appreciate him even more. Pete Fountain is always good too.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that one by George was excellent. I keep forgetting what a marvelous voice that man has. The lyrics were typical, Texas. Ah, the one that got away.

Speaking of blue eyes, y'all, here are the same song by two different guys. Can one compare them?

That song was offered to Hank Williams, but he never released it. It was the one that elevated Willie to stardom. Which was odd to me. I had thought he was a star since I first heard him as a kid in California.

Afternoon, edgar. Loved the Train of Love by the man in black. Great.

Mornin to you mooseman.

A couple of songs to match edgar's and the Rockman's.

First, Texas.

Who wrote the book of love? No, it wasn't the Who and they're not monotones, but I kinda like this one, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! That Aaron Copeland Conspiracy was fabulous. Their version of Don't Sleep in the Subway was awesome. Loved Johnny and W.C. in the visuals, so I decided to do one by the funny guy. Bud loved him.

Nothing was sacred to this guy either, Texas.

I have loved Fields since I first saw him in a trailer of My Little Chickadee at a drive in movie. Probably 1948 or 9.

Ah, edgar, your Weep No More My Baby by Brenda Lee reminded of "...weep no more my lady..."

Great group singing a capella, folks.
