@edgarblythe,
Glad you're keeping us on the air edgar. I had forgotten about Viki. Love that song, too.

That was a sad one by Cal. "...when the frost is one the pumpkin and the fodder's in the shock..." He's a good vocalist, however.

Speaking of shock, we had a house fire in the neighborhood. I hope the place was empty.

Here's an interesting duet by Tony and K.D. They explain stuff that people who sing should know. She has a bit of entonation problem, but I like this one.

Doing casual reading on our forum, I saw where our Eva has a problem. Also saw something about Lord Ellpus. Fill us in, Texas.

@tin sword arthur,
Welcome back, t.s.a. I recall us have talked about The Wizard of Oz and the fact that Somewhere Over the Rainbow was almost cut from the movie.

This isn't Judy, buddy, but it's good.

Indeed we did, Letty. I look forward to sharing and discussing more music/movie trivia.

Hauntingly beautiful rendition. Thanks for sharing.

I only mentioned Lord Ellpus on the other thread, because his name came up. Somebody on facebook was recommended to me for a friend by the system. So I made the friendship request, but got turned down. This says to me that the man is alive and well, and that's all I ask. I like him, but me and LE were not really.close.

I like Tony and KD, and the song, Because of You as well. Didn't Eddy Fisher also have a good version of that?
Loved that version of Over the Rainbow.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks, edgar, for the news and for your comments. Love having tin sword arthur back, and that "song of love" by Art and Dotty was one of my fav's. Don't know if Eddie did Because of You, but I'll check it out later.

(glad to find out that no one was injured in the big fire of a condo on my street)

I never hear "chanson" that I don't think of Camille Saint Saens His last name rhymes with that French for song.

So, how about a carnival and some animals!

@edgarblythe,
I'm smiling now, edgar. I take it you didn't like that particular carnival, right?

My niece once again sent me an invitation to Facebook. No thanks, it appears that it's another popularity contest.

Conway Twitty is one that I've never cared for but the lyrics to Is a Blue Bird Blue were clever.

Today is Stan Laurel's birthday. Bud loved those guys and was always quoting them. Here is a tribute to both Stan and Oliver.

Of comedian teams, Stan and Ollie are my sentimental favorites. I love those guys. Truthfully, I did not like the carnival music at all.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar, loved that Teen Age Queen by Johnny. I always appreciate your honest observations, buddy.

Well, y'all, I think this is one that all of us will agree on. Hmmm. Where is hbg and George (who has offered a disclaimer saying that he is NOT an official Latin scholar)Smile

I like Mario a lot and I like his song very much. The War of the Worlds was interesting. Also a bit confusing to me. Thanks for plugging my thread.
