@edgarblythe,
Good morning, edgar. Good afternoon, Brit.

Loved your late night song by The Seekers. I Am Australian was great. Thanks for playing it.

So, I also enjoyed The Mod Man's Soccer by Ntshebe. Yep, Hope springs eternal, Brit.

Royal Navy's Queen? Love it!

K'Naan and Hip Hop? He was great, buddy. Somalian born and Canadian based.

Love Queen, of course; never heard I want to Break Free. I think the first one I heard by that great group was Another One Bites the Dust, but The Highlander is still my favorite.

Two wonderful songs for the early morning, y'all.

First Ella at her BEST!

I know what you mean, gal.

Now one to match the Brit's opera singer.

A tribute to Paul.

Thinking of music and love this afternoon.

And from Mac Davis a shock of surprise as I wrote a poem on the old A2K titled:

"To whoever finds this I love you". It was inspired by To Kill a Mockingbird.

Ella and Paul -
I like Ella on her best work. Never cared for some of her stuff. That's a good one that you played.
What can one say about Paul Robeson that has not already been said?

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I had no idea that Roger Whitaker sang The Lion Sleeps Tonight. That's a different version for me, however. I think the only one that I have heard by him is The Last Farewell. Hope Bob Smith the hawkman returns again.

Today is Hugh Laurie's birthday. He always leaves us laughing, folks. Here's a funny one by him.

@edgarblythe,
Fly my pretty bird fly is exquisite, edgar. Just found out that the man lives in Kenya.

News from the world of art.

A long-lost trove of Impressionist and Modern art not seen since World War II will be offered at auction in London and Paris, Sotheby's said Friday.
The 140 works "" including paintings, prints and drawings "" belonged to Parisian art dealer Ambroise Vollard, who played an important role promoting artists including Renoir, Cezanne, Picasso and Matisse.

@djjd62,
Love Changes by David Bowie, dj. So glad that you invited the philosophy folks here, and thank you for representing Canada.

edgar, Baby sittin' Blues was funny. Thanks, Texas and once again your comments on the music that we play here is appreciated.

Inspired by our dj, here is a marvelous trailer starring Cornel Wilde and Debra Paget. Loved Cornel Wilde in The Naked Prey, and our Raggedy told me that he also did Chopin. All I remember is seeing blood on the piano keys.

@edgarblythe,
Gene Kelly on roller skates? Love it edgar.

Here's probably his most famous song, and we'll dedicate it to Reyn. Smile

My word, Debra Paget is still with us, but not the Wilde man.

@djjd62,
That was beautiful dj. Never heard Morrissey before, but I see that he had Irish blood and an English heart. Thanks for the introduction.

Never Played Symphonies reminded me of Chopin and the ocean.
