@edgarblythe,
Wow! I listened twice to that one, Texas. Francis Albert and Liza with a z. Yep, if we can make it there. (we did so long ago)we'll make it anywhere. Hope so, folks cause it is HOT here.

Even Kong is cheering for that song, folks.

How about a deja vu song by the lovely and fantastic Diana Krall.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, Jerry Lee and his little light. Let it shine; let it shine; let it shine. Thanks, Texas. Yikes! Great Balls of Fire just made me look the sun.

A tribute to three great STARS that have moved on, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Don't remember that one with Margaret, edgar. I vaguely recall Journey for Margaret 'cause she cried all the time.

Sent me searching again, Texas. I didn't even know that Margaret was in this one. I do recall Danny Thomas tring to explain that it was an accident.

Meg, a young ballet student, idolizes the school's top ballerina, the shallow Ariane Bouchet. Meg is distressed when she learns visiting prima ballerina Darina rather than Bouchet will play the lead in the school's production of "Swan Lake." So on opening night, Meg arranges an accident which nearly kills Darina and ends her dancing career. As a result, Bouchet becomes a star, while Meg is torn with guilt

Tony Bennett
I got away from him for a time, but I grew nostalgic for his early songs.

@edgarblythe,
Yep, edgar. Tony Bennett did some great songs, but I am given to understand he wasn't a very nice man. Doesn't matter if he is rotten just so he doesn perform in a stinky fashion. If I Ruled the World was good.

Amazing. Margaret O Brien is still with us.

Another Tony that I love.

I haven't read or heard about Tony's private life. He always seems like a good guy on TV, eager to entertain, always agreeable and smiling.

@edgarblythe,
I only know about Tony Bennett by word of mouth, edgar. Bud's friend Dud went to see one of his concerts and told him how great it was. According to Dud, Tony snipped: "well, what did you expect?"

You know, I do believe that "Tony" is a nickname for Anthony. Most likely, they were Roman Catholic and it may have been that they were named after St. Anthony.

Here's an Antonio now.

Antonio Banderas I only saw one of his films. I chose the wrong one.
That Bob Wills song is one of my earliest musical memories.
Have you seen the trailers for the brand new film of Karate Kid. I just learned that the boy star is the son of Will Smith.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar, I love that Will Smith song, Just the Two of Us. Didn't know it was tainted with rap, however. I forgotten what movies of Tony's that I've seen. Desperado? Not certain, I'll have to check it out as usual. Unbelievable that Will Smith's son will do The Karate Kid. Love that idea.

Well, maybe the squirrel and the moose will eventually be back with us, and perhaps all of the Brits. I had hoped that our dj would be as well.

Saying goodnight with a Brit. I really like David Bowie!
