I like Tom Jones doing the Charlie Rich tune, The Most Beautiful girl. The tribute one was too hard to hear, for some reason. Nelson Eddy's voice still great.
One of the Isley Brothers has died today. Not sure which one.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, I love The Isley Brothers doing Harvest for the World, edgar. You're right about that first tribute to Tom Jones; it was awful. Maybe you'll be able to locate the Isley brother who died.

Today is Prince's birthday. Seems that he had some contentions with YouTube. I guess this is his most popular song.

It was Marvin Isley who died, edgar. He was the bassist for the group.

It seems that he had complication from diabetes. Only 56

@edgarblythe,
Wow! Jackson Browne is a great vocalist, edgar. What an interesting story behind that song. "...well it's who you look like, not who you are..."

Never heard him before.

Well, it seems that it's Dino's birthday, folks, so here is one by him. All of the rat pack is gone now.

Wonder who the piano man is? He is fantastic.

Jackson Browne is very talented. He wrote and recorded the first version of the Eagles hit, take it easy. He also wrote this song.

@edgarblythe,
You know, edgar, I simply did not know Jackson's Brown's name. I love Doctor my Eyes and the Eagles, buddy, especially Take it Easy.

Well, we learn here on our radio. That's what really pleases me, and that's why I wish more countries would give us input.

How about the temperature, folks.

That song made me warm, and we don't need that here in Florida.

Think I'll say goodnight with Dino. Love this one by him.

It's not the best presentation, but it's the only original version I could locate.

Mornin' WA2K, edgar, and Barry the Brit.

edgar, Loved your sneeze song. You must have read my mind. I had a sneezing fit this morning. Dust particles, methinks. 98.6 was one that I like because it means NORMAL!

That Dino song, Return to Me, was really good. I like that Italian.

Thanks again for the dates in history. Wow! Howard Hughes! Read The Carpetbaggers, and saw the movie 'cause Alan Ladd was Nevada Smith. Poor little rich guy. Don't remember much about either, frankly.

Ah, Barry, I hope your ex gets the message. That Dusty song, You Don't Own Me, was perfect. Sorry about the stray package.

When I was in Virginia, I ran into an ex boyfriend named Eddie. Same old b.s. as in the past. We've all been there.

First a birthday boy, folks.

Boz Scaggs does this one well.

Just looked at the trailer, Melvin and Howard. Damn, what people will do for money or publicity.

And from Toto, a goodun.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! I love both those rain songs, edgar. Carl Thomas and Johnny Rivers were excellent. Especially like the visuals with the Rivers man.

Well, here's one to match, then another by a couple of guys who made the news today.

First, this one.

Now, another duet, y'all.
