@edgarblythe,
er, edgar, can't say that I especially liked that one by Harriet, but the title sounds familiar; however, Texas, I love, love, love that Mighty Sparrow doing Cokie Eyed Rooster. Wow! fantastic calypso. Never heard that before. The alternate name for rooster is chanticleer, the herald of the dawn.
Well, y'all, today is Gladys Knight's birthday, so let's hear one by her and The Pips.

That's okay, letty. Songs I don't care for get played on here from time to time. Can't always agree on every bit of music.
But, I like some of Gladys Knight's songs.

Well it's a weekend for remembrance. I don't recall any of my relatives even getting shot at in war, but several served and only missed combat by a fluke of circumstance. Three of us were on active duty during the Vietnam fiasco, though we did not get near the war. I am particularly cognizant of the way the nation pulled together in WW II, a time when rich and poor alike felt some brotherhood and common sense of purpose.

edgar, as Sherman said in his laconic fashion: War is Hell! Patton loved war!
Love Corcovado, edgar.

To JFK

There are those who believe that his Profiles in Courage was ghost written.
Thanks for JFK. Busy day. First I took out the coil to my A/C because it has a hole, then went to my mother in law's home to pick up a day bed and some stuff. Don't know how much more I will do today. Getting ready for a cuppa.
