Baby Elephant Walk was from the John Wayne Daktari movie. This appears to be a different production, letty.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Didn't see Mogambo. Odd because I had jungle fever when I was a kid. You are also right about the right song; wrong movie. I checked it out, and that must have been a TV series. Odd, no?

Wonder where Barry the Brit is? Just noticed that an Indian plane crashed and only eight survived. How tragic.

Today is Morrissey's birthday. Don't know him, but this is a great song by the guy, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Just learned about The Guess Who. They are Canadian and that song Share the Land was awesome. Thanks for the introduction, Texas.

Your dates in history are always so inspirational. I see some birthday boys in there.

Here's a tribute to Sir Laurence. (Rebecca was scary)

@edgarblythe,
I love that one by the Hilltoppers, edgar. "...all day all night Marianne..."

Odd, I was searching for George Shearing's Sand in my Shoes and as serendipity would have it came across one that is amazing. The American remake of this was The Bird Cage.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, one cannot beat Miss Peggy, edgar. She did that one as a slow ballad. I mostly heard it as a upbeat jazz version. Pete Kelly's Blues. I had forgotten that.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with Richard Wagner and a hummingbird.

My daughter bought one of those feeders, but no hummingbirds appeared.

To all of you everywhere,

From Letty with love

Good morning WA2K folks.

edgar, I really loved your goodnight song. Lisbon Antigua by Nelson is a wonderful tribute to Portugal. Thanks, Texas.

Glad to see our Brit back. Thanks, London, for all three songs. I only knew the one by Cat, however. Love him! Speaking of cats and scats, today is Scatman Crothers' birthday, so here is one by him.

@edgarblythe,
Love that one by Bessie Smith, edgar. She was Lady Day's inspiration.

Inspired by your events in history, here are two songs for Sunday morning.

First a tribute to the RCMP. (much rather have done Jenette and Nelson's version, but couldn't get it to work)

Now, St. Joan.
