Finally got some rain. We have been on course to repeat last year's drought. 2009 had the worst drought in my memory.
Enjoy the flute music, letty.

edgar, I loved that Celtic Pan. There is something so calming about the sound.

Ah, Our Izzie has wooshed just like our Brit. Duran Duran and Ordinary World was fantastic. Sleep peacefully, beautiful lady.

Well, folks, it's either drought or deluge in my little studio. Hmmm, maybe we need Reyn the Rainman back in here.

Perhaps the Beatles will have to do, then.

@edgarblythe,
Goodnight dear edgar. Fats is good as he always is, even when it rains.

Time for me to say goodnight as well. I think that I shall do so with a birthday boy, y'all.

@Barry The Mod,
Good morning WA2K listeners and contributors.

edgar, Jacob Dylan and his Women and Country was fabulous. 'course we all know Jambalaya. Love it!

Hey, Brit. Willie Nelson's Dark as a Dungeon brought back some memories, and although I don't know Mary Gauthier, really enjoyed Mercy Now. Thanks for the introduction, London.

Two songs for this early morning, y'all.

First, a birthday boy.

@Francis,
Fabulous song by that talented lady, Francis.

Is this a proper translation?

The Broken Glass

Dazed and confused by jealousy
you see a sad, faithless bohemian in the bar
having a nervous breakdown and crying helplessly
like a madman tormented by the ungrateful woman that left him.

You always see him with his best friend
who gives him company and tells him "That's enough liquor,
You don't fix anything by crying, You don’t fix anything with wine,
on the contrary, your heart only remembers her more"

One night, like a madman, he bit the glass of wine,
and a razor edge shined and cut his mouth,
the blood trickled down mingling with the wine
and in the bar his shout gave the creeps to everyone

Don't worry my friend if i cut my mouth,
don't worry that I want, with this glass's edge
to erase the mark of the traitor’s kiss she gave to me

(Chorus)
Waiter... fill up my broken glass
fill it, for this obsession is killing me
Waiter... fill up my broken glass
I want to bleed, drop by drop, the poison of her love
Francis

Eddy Arnold and Mozart. I read a number of times that Eddy was considered the Frank Sinatra of country music, but, really, he stood alone in his field. Same as Sinatra and Mozart.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again, edgar, for the comments on the music that we play on our cyber radio.

Today is Trini Lopez's birthday, folks. I am truly surprised at all the familiar songs that he sang. Here is another by him.
