Good morning WA2K folks.
edgar, I had to smile at the Mickey Mouse song. Thanks, Texas.
tsar, that song by Leonard Cohen was fantastic. Didn't realize that the man reeked with pathos and razor blades. The Future was an enigma until he decided that "love is the only engine of survival". Wow!
Hey, Brit. Joni Mitchell's Free Man in Paris was great. Never heard that one by her, London. So it's sandwich day in your wee town. I looked at some of the offerings and thought about "the water cress" place that used to be in Virginia. Had forgotten that the sandwich islands are now the Hawaiian Islands. Incidentally, the guys at school called beer sammies.
Ah, I love that one by Bread. "..you come and pour yourself on me.." beautiful lyrics.
Speaking of paintings, The Picture of Dorian Gray was on last evening and I woke up and watched the entire movie again. Did not realize that there had been two remakes. What a fantastic writer was Oscar Wilde. So, Dorian sold his soul for eternal youth. That theme has been done by many including Hawethorne, but not as dynamic as Wilde.
Two songs for the early morning, y'all.
First it's Stevie Wonder's birthday. I started to play You Are the Sunshine of my Life, but decided on this one instead.

Now a classical piece by Chopin which was also in the movie about Dorian.
