Urs, Welcome back. Them wise guys know how to celebrate summer. Thanks, gal.

Wow! The only person that I thought did Whichita Lineman was Glen Campbell, edgar. Loved that version by O.C. Smith, buddy.

Hot time here, as well.

@Rockhead,
Love that one by The Fab Four, Mooseman. Hmmmm, "...I get high with a little help from my friends...? UhOh!

No wonder they're "...Feeling Groovy..."

@edgarblythe,
Love Lionel Richie, edgar, and Say You; Say Me is great. I especially liked the line "...life's lonely highway.."

More bad economic news, y'all.

ATHENS (AP) " Ratings agency Standard & Poor's pushed Greece to the brink of a financial abyss yesterday and downgraded Portugal's debt, too, fueling fears of a continent-wide debt meltdown in Europe.

This lady sounds rather sad. Maybe that's why.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amYTQ91W6xo&feature=related

English translation.

I found my April dream in Portugal with you
When we discovered romance, like we never knew.
My head was in the clouds, My heart went crazy too,
And madly I said: "I love you."

(Interlude)
Too soon I heard you say:
"This dream
is for a day"
That's Porugal and love in April!
And when the showers fell,
Those tears I know so well,
They told me it was spring fooling me.

(Refrain)
I found my April dream in Portugal
with you
When we discovered romance, like I never knew.
Then morning brought the rain,
And now my dream is through
But still my heart says "I love you."

An Update:
Bret Michaels' recovery has hit a setback, according to his rep. Test results show Michaels is suffering from a lack of sodium, a known side effect of brain hemorrhages that can lead to seizures.

Despite the setback, the Poison singer and Celebrity Apprentice contestant is still in "positive spirits," according to his rep. "He is responding well to tests and treatments," the statement read. "Even though today was a minor setback, doctors remain hopeful for a full recovery and plan to release more specific information next Monday."

As of Tuesday, Michaels, 47, was in critical but stable condition and was under close surveillance in the ICU of an undisclosed hospital to prevent any complications from his Type 1 diabetes.

In the same statement, Michaels' rep acknowledged increased speculation that his health problems may be related to the head injury he suffered last June, when he was hit by a prop onstage at the 2009 Tony Awards, and said doctors have planned additional studies to figure out what caused the brain hemorrhage.

"Doctors state Michaels is very lucky as his condition could have been fatal," the statement read. "With further testing and rehabilitation, they are hopeful that Bret will gradually improve as the blood surrounding the brain dissolves and is reabsorbed into his system, which can be a very painful recovery and take several weeks to months."

Earlier on Tuesday, Entertainment Tonight reported Michaels was to undergo surgery due to his deteriorating condition. His father, Wally Sycack, told Extra his son was talking and moving his arms and legs. "He sounded a little slow, but fine. He was talking, not as cheerful as he usually is," Sychak, told Extra. "But he understood what he was saying and knew me. Everything seemed good that way."

@edgarblythe,
edgar, first allow me to say that April Wine was great doing Sign of the Gypsy. Just found out they are Canadians. Love it.

I have been following Bret Michaels condition, but that "brittle diabetes" (childhood onset) is scary. I hope the man does recover as do we all.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I shall do so with another gypsy song. Have no idea why I know this one, but I really like it.

To all of you everywhere,

From Letty with love

Good morning, WA2K radio.
edgar, thanks for your gypsy songs. Especially liked Bob Dylan's Went to see the Gypsy.

Hey, Brit. First allow me to acknowledge the vet who was persistent about accomplishing the impossible. Val Doonican's Walk Tall was perfect.

Thanks, also for the history of Captain Cook's discoveries and the great song, Jolly Rogers. It was funny, London.

I think I know why I know Melton. Romberg , of course.

Cat Stevens also makes an observation about handicaps.

Our full moon once again drew me to my studio window.

Now the great Peggy Lee with a song I love, y'all.

Spent some time researching the origin of the word, "gypsy". There are differing versions. My Irish friend, Al, told me long ago that "street Arabs" were the real ones.

Hey edgar and mooseman. So glad that you have kept us on the air.

edgar, thanks for the comments and also that great song, "We Got Love" by Bobby Rydell.

Thank you, Rock, for Rhythm of my Heart by Rod. His voice got better as he aged.

Just met a young man from Croatia which inspired me to play this one.

Still thinking about Portugal (Spain has now been added to the European countries who are in trouble) so I thought I would summon the Portuguese Man of War and other creatures of the deep.

Love that song by King Harvest.
