The Globetrotters music has to be the most cheerful music ever composed.

My Hair had a Party Last Night was fantastic, edgar. Thanks for the afternoon smile.

Hey, Texas, remember this guy?

http://hoopedia.nba.com/images/6/6a/MeadowlarkLemon.jpg

It's his birthday today, hence the music, buddy.

Here's another funny one, y'all.

Inspired by tsar's thread about cruelty to mice.

Remember Peter Sellers?

@edgarblythe,
It's Meadowlark Lemon's birthday, edgar.

Mel Brooks is hilarious, Texas. He broke all the rules. Don't know exactly what he nor the child was saying, but his imitation was great.

We cannot pass up this guy's birthday, y'all. It's the reason that we are on the air.

@Barry The Mod,
Wow! I didn't realize that Freddy Mercury was a member of Queen. He is fabulous. Also didn't know that he died of AIDS!

Loved Radio GA GA, Brit. I assume that song is a tribute to the medium. Thanks, buddy.

Here's a tribute to Freddy, y'all.

Love David Bowie as well.

William Claiborne, the first American governor of the Louisiana territory, believed New Orleans was ungovernable due to the citizenry's preoccupation with dancing. Two centuries have passed, and that much hasn't changed....

I love the mix of music that we have here on our cyber radio.

Brit, The Treme Brass Band knows how to do gospel in the old Dixieland fashion. Loved it.

edgar, that Chinese lady was fabulous. What a great voice and what a range she had. I also watched her audience reacting to her in a positive way.

Amazing to me that she does English so well. Thanks, Texas, for that wonderful experience.

Well, I hope we can enjoy Pete Fountain in a different rhythm to the Brit's version.

Having been a former Baptist, I know the lyrics to that. Too lazy to do them from memory. I did, however, edit them a bit.

Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea.
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

I am weak, but Thou art strong
Jesus, keep me from all wrong.
I'll be satisfied as long
As I walk let me walk close to Thee

In this world of toil and snares,
If I falter, Lord, who cares?
Who but Thee my burden shares?
None but Thee, oh Lord, none but Thee.

When my feeble life is o'er
Time for me will be no more
Guide me safely
To thy shore.
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

I associate Just a Closer Walk with a violent death of a nephew, so opted to skip that one.

@edgarblythe,
I don't blame you, edgar. Some things are difficult to hear when they are associated with one we hold dear, especially if that someone has died violently.

Love The Eagles' Desperado, Texas. Thanks for that one.

Here is a great tribute to Ella Fitzgerald whose birthday is today. (she didn't always do scat)

edgar, I have never heard Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. It was really good. I did recognize Lenin and Mona Lisa, however.

Hey, Brit. WOW! Ella sang Misty beautifully. She did have a great range, London. Thanks for that one. Never heard her do it.

How about Linda, Jackson, and The Eagles now, y'all.
