@edgarblythe,
Don't know Velvet Underground's Countess from Hong Kong, edgar. Didn't even know The Little Tramp did it. Thanks, Texas. Missed Some Day Soon. will acknowledge tomorrow.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs. Speaking of a tramp, here is Hank Williams, Tramp on the Street.

Just found my photo of Me and the group in New York with Art Blakey. Wow!

Think I'll close with that fantastic Art and his messengers.

Morning Ms Letty,Ed and all WA2K folks.Looks like London is gonna' be infested by elephants!!!!!!....

"200 model elephants to cover capital for charity

A HERD of 200 fibreglass elephants is to invade London in a show billed as the capital's biggest public art exhibition.

The model Asian elephants " each decorated by a different artist or celebrity " will be set up in streets, parks and squares this summer.

They will then be auctioned off by Sotheby's in aid of a wildlife conservation project, and it is hoped the event will raise more than £1 million to help save the endangered creatures.

The elephants will be sited from Buckingham Palace to the South Bank, beside Tate Modern and in Parliament Square in May, June and July next year. Each model, which is standing or sitting, is 1.5 metres high and 1.8 metres in length. They are the size of an adolescent elephant and weigh 65 kilos after organisers feared full-sized versions would make streets too crowded.
The men behind the Elephant Parade are father and son team Marc and Mike Spitz. The entrepreneurs " responsible for marketing both the Smurfs and Hello Kitty " decided they wanted to launch a creative international project to aid elephants across the world."

I'll have my camera ready and post a few pics.Looks like a lot of fun.

Good morning, WA2K radio folks.

edgar, really enjoyed Totimashi's Viva Zapata. Never heard it, but I know who Zapata is for sure.

Smiled at Lone Star Beer, Texas, and Judy's Someday soon was great.

Hey, Brit. Loved The Baby Elephant Walk and Ryan Adams' New York song.

Hmmm. Seems to me that I recall in the Tarzan movies, they pasted larger ears on Indian elephants because African elephants were too dangerous to feature. Love to see photo's of your display, buddy.

About the photo. It is really an old black and white. I'll try and get my techie friend from Georgia to restore it, and send it to you "laters".

Today is William Holden's birthday, so here is a tribute to him. I had forgotten what a nice looking man he was and vaguely recall Bridge on the River Quai and the irony thereof.

Stalag 17 "Ach So".

@edgarblythe,
I remember Flowers for Algernon, edgar. Also remember this Charlie. Sorry for the graphic gangster visuals, y'all.

Had no idea that Bobby Darin did this song.

@edgarblythe,
Marianne Faithfull? Wonder what she did for a living. Loved that, edgar.

Wow! The Seven Deadly Sins reminded me of the movie with Kevin Spacey.

How about another kind of Seven.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEV6oT7MvJA&feature=related

Then there's the gambling kind of seven come eleven, such as " Dixie pair a dice."
