Wow! Didn't know that Eddie sang Just a Little Lovin', edgar.

For some reason, I thought that Roy Rogers sang this one.

Didn't quite understand the singing dancing girls with Andy's show -
I enjoyed all the movie clips, however.

@edgarblythe,
it's not one of the artists better mashups (combining two or more songs to create something new), but it's funny, because he received an email from someone representing one of the parties associated asking if he had permission to use the music

you might expect it to be Beyonce's people since she's a popular star at the moment, but it was actually representatives of the people who hold the rights to the mayberry theme song, most of the guys that do this stuff get cease and desist letters quite often, but he didn't see that coming

Izzie, Loved The Blackberry Way. Hope Roger doesn't leave your ship, hun.

dj, Both those clips were funny, Canada. Hmmm, so Andy is covering up something. Glad you're back with us. The only trolls you'll find here are the kind that sing.

So, I guess we have all heard this.

Good morning, WA2K folks

Hey, Brit. I had forgotten that McTag has been to India and that you are going.

Thanks for Mood Indigo. Love that song, and taggers, that was a great one. The view of another place in the far East was awesome as well.

Morning, edgar. Thanks again for your comments on the music that we play here.

Today is Sharon Corr's birthday, and this is a fantastic collection of her talent.

First, some background on the talented lady.

Sharon Helga Corr MBE (born 24 March 1970, Dundalk, Ireland) is a musician and member of the Irish pop-rock band The Corrs. She plays the violin, piano, guitar, and sings backing vocals.

Sharon Corr began learning the violin when she was 6 years old. Her sister Caroline Corr was originally meant to learn it but was not interested,[citation needed] so Sharon took lessons instead. She has played in national youth orchestras and is qualified to teach the violin.

The Corr siblings were awarded honorary MBEs in 2005 by Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of both their musical talent and their charitable work raising money for Freeman Hospital in Newcastle, victims of the Omagh Bombing, and other charities.

Sharon Corr wrote the Corrs hits "So Young", "Radio", "Long Night", and "Goodbye" as well as the instrumentals "Silver Strand" and "Rebel Heart", the latter of which was used as theme music for the television miniseries of the same name.

@edgarblythe,
Love that one by the "jester, edgar. Sent me researching again.

Crazy Joe Gallo’s last moments in Little Italy
By wildnewyork

Joseph Gallo, nicknamed “crazy” by fellow mobsters, was a Red Hook"born gangster specializing in typical 1950s and 1960s mafia activities such as extortion and racketeering.

He was also flamboyant, charming, and well-read, and in the early 1970s he became kind of a celebrity, hanging out with writers, actors, and other New York scenesters.

But he made a fatal mistake on the night of his 43rd birthday, on April 7, 1972. After visiting the Copacabana nightclub, he stopped into Umberto’s Clam House on Mulberry Street in Little Italy. It was around 5 a.m. Supposedly a rival mobster saw him enter Umberto’s; within minutes, gunmen entered the restaurant and start firing.

Gallo was hit five times, staggered out to the street, and died. He’s buried in Brooklyn’s Green-Wood Cemetery.

Today is Harry Houdini's birthday. I have been doing research on him as well.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8284142145609530264#

Some facts about the man.

# Houdini debunked spiritualists. In the early 1900s, many people were caught up in spiritualism as a way of contacting deceased relatives. People who were grieving would often pay enormous sums of money in order to contact the dead. Houdini recognized the spiritualist mediums for what they really were ... charlatans preying upon the delicate emotions of the recently bereaved. Because he was familiar with sleight of hand and other ways of manipulating audiences into believing the impossible, he was able to expose their tricks, which he often did.

# Houdini did not die due to a failed Chinese Water Tank trick. It is a common misconception that Houdini died either in the famed Chinese Water Tank trick, or immediately after being rescued from the device. This is a myth based in part by a popular 1953 Hollywood semi-biographical movie starring actor Tony Curtis. In reality, Houdini was nowhere near a stage when he died; he died at a Detroit, Michigan hospital, one week after his last performance.

I did further research on Houdini's death, because I recalled reading that he had been killed by getting punched in the stomache. Here is the Snopes version of the facts, for anybody interested.
