I guess Helen would know. Peter and Gorden approach it from this angle.

Well,edgar, I agree with Peter and Gordon on that Woman song. Love that duo.

@edgarblythe,
I remember Slipin and a Slidin, Texas, but I never heard Buddy do it. He did it in ballad style. Thanks, buddy

How about some lace and a pony tale.

JP Richardson was a good songwriter, in addition to recording some good music.
This artist is better known for his version of Wooden Heart, but this song predates it.

@edgarblythe,
Don't know Joe Dowell, edgar, but I liked Little Red Rented Rowboat. I know Wooden Heart, but I think I heard it by someone else. Can't recall, however.

Here's one by Willie Nelson that matches your rowboat, Texas, plus and extra song about Poncho and Lefty, y'all.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I know that I overdo it, but I just love the composer and the serenade, y'all.

The original Wooden Heart is by Elvis Presley, from the film, GI Blues. When technicalities prevented the release of a record by the King, Joe Dowel recorded what became the big hit of it.

I like Englebert a lot, and you can play Serenade every day and it would be fine with me. I like it also.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, thanks for the explanation concerning the song, I Don't Have a Wooden Heart. Also enjoyed your goodnight song by Jackie Wilson. I recall his Lonely Teardrops.

Hey, Rockymoose. I cannot believe that Joe Walsh sang with the Eagles. Love that group, and thanks for the memory job and the song.

Did a bit of research and found this:

Muss i denn, muss i denn
Zum Stadtele hinaus
Stadtele hinaus
Und du, mein schat, bleibst hier?

There's no strings upon this love of mine
It was always you from the start
Sei mir gut
Sei mir gut
Sei mir wie du wirklich sollst
Wie du wirklich sollst
'Cause I don't have a wooden heart

Elvis Presley sang "Wooden Heart" which made the tune of Muss I Denn very well known though its real title is known by only a few. Muss I Denn translates as "There's A Time" in English and "C'est le temps" in French.

Two songs for the morning.

First, The Eagles with Joe.

Now, a song that I really like and put on Izzie's boat forum.

I was hoping that Barry the Brit would listen to it.

Welcome back, Panz. (hope yours is better). Love My Heart Will Go On, and that kid, Sungha Jung is fabulous on that acoustic guitar. It's bigger than he is.

edgar, once again, thank you for your comments on the music that we play here.

Just found out that Paul Evans wrote "Roses are Red". That was a funny song, Texas. Wonder who Fred is.

Today is Chaka Kahn's birthday, so here is one by her, y'all

Hope this works
