Morning Ms Letty,Ed,Rock and all WA2K listeners/watchers."Rhino" is drying up Very Happy .Formula 1 season starts today.BUT who do I root for? The two Brits or comeback king Schuey.
My birthday boy today is Adam Clayton who plays the bass guitar in the band U2....

"U2 are a rock band from Dublin, Ireland. The group consists of Bono (vocals and guitar), The Edge (guitar, keyboards, and vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen (drums and percussion).

The band formed at Mount Temple secondary school in 1976 when the members were teenagers with limited musical proficiency. Within four years, they signed to Island Records and released their debut album Boy. By the mid-1980s, they had become a top international act. They were more successful as a live act than they were at selling records, until their 1987 album The Joshua Tree, which, according to Rolling Stone, elevated the band's stature "from heroes to superstars"."

Live,as it should be,on Irish TV....

Good morning, WA2K folks,

Rock, nice to have you back with U2. Love that one by Al.

Hey, Brit. Really enjoyed U2. I guess St. Patrick's Day will be comin' in with them.

Ah, my Dodge Monaco had a Renault engine. Miss that car, and love that engine purring to God Save the Queen. Same melody as My Country Tis of thee.

Well, all seems to be working here, so here's another from Oklahoma.

It's mostly musical day on WA2K, Rock. Love I'm Just a Girl who Cain't Say No.

Hey, dj, That is some Russian weirdness. Eduard Hill and his la la's didn't wanna play. Thanks anyway, Canada

How could I have missed edgar's Woman is Fickle by Joe Green as interpreted by Enrico Caruso. Guess it's because I'm a clown.

What a talented car. I'm lumping the songs from Oklahoma together, to save time. I like the music much more than the play that accompanies it.
U2 - fantastic song and group.

@edgarblythe,
That was a sad song about Davy, edgar. I recall dj having thought the lyrics were: kilt in a bar when he was only three..Love it!

Brewer's rooster don't crow like he uster. Loved that pun on Caruso, Texas.

Here's another one who was at the Alamo, y'all. What a surprise to see who sang it, y'all.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar. Love that one by Jimmy Jones. I always think of Candy Man when I hear Handy Man.

Been doing some research on The Alamo movies, and I think I saw this one. Strange, I don't recall John Wayne having been in this version. The only one I recall is Laurence Harvey. Liked him in The Manchurian Candidate. (the original)

We all know that Hollywood depicts things that don't always happen in actual history, so our listeners and contributors might want to check this out.

They took a notion to show The Alamo (John Wayne version) on the This channel about six times so far, in less than six months. I always preferred the Fess Parker version of that. It is shorter and less bombastic than Wayne's film.
Did not think a whole lot of Billy Bob Thornton's Davy, except the scene in which he got executed.
Glenn Ford's Man From the Alamo was a potboiler of a western.
I have seen the Alamo in other films.
Another story not commonly told about the situation in there was, that a riot ensuded, the night before the final battle.

edgar, Talahassie Lassie by Freddy Cannon? I expected to hear sh Boom. Thanks Texas.

Hey, Rockman. That song was funny. Shipoopi was a great title. Never heard that one from The Music Man. That guy singing it was familiar looking, however.

Well, panz wasn't here so I had to drive Miss Letty to the sto.

Izzie, That was a beautiful version of The Godfather theme, gal. Love the violin, hun, and thanks. My godchild is in the panhandle. Glad your Godmother is doing well.

Today is Neil Sedaka's birthday, and I wanted to play my fav by him, The Immigrant, but was forbidden to do so. This one is not bad, however
