Good morning, WA2K folks

edgar, missed your Yirama Spring Time. Fantastic, Texas. Always enjoy Herb Alpert's Lonely Bull. Thanks. The Kingston Trio, "I wann go Home" brought back a memory.

Wow, missed your Borodin video as well, O'George. Love that man. Great visuals as well. Thanks, buddy.

Hey, Mooseman Rock. Really enjoyed Rod and Amy's "I Don't want to Talk About It". Don't know Amy, but she has a great voice. Don't care for Nina Simone, but what a shock to hear her do Frank's "My Way".

Dee Dee Bridgewater's Song for My Father was excellent, incidentally. I think most of us know the movie, The Good, The Band, and The Ugly. I think the explanation of the strange onomatopoeia at the beginning was supposed to be the howling of the coyotes.

My word, panz. I had forgotten that TV show, but I sure remember the theme. What a fantastic acoustic guitar Ted Greene plays. Know all three of those songs. Lovely. Thanks, Florida.

Hey, Brit. When did you quit calling me Ms. Letty? Jai Ho was great. Was that a cast dot on her forehead? Hmmm. So used to the "singing ranger" doing that one, but I liked the other version as well.

Welcome back, McTag. Ah, yes. Aretha is the queen of soul. Love that version of James' and Carley's Mocking Bird.

Well, it's a federal holiday here in America. Today is George Washington's birthday. Nope, no tribute to the father of our country.

It is Chopin's bday, however, and what a surprise to know that Dave Brubeck's plays this tribute to him, y'all.

Hope I didn't miss any contributions.

@JPB,
Miss squirrel, that was one helluva jazz trio. Jagodlinski is one who I have never heard. Especially enjoyed the acoustic bass. Thanks for the introduction, gal, and Prelude in E minor is one of my favorites.

Here's another by that Polish genius performed by Yundi Lee.

@McTag,
McTag, do you mean there is such a thing as a GOOD lawyer? Don't understand what you mean, really, but often all those birds can confuse an already confused Letty. I thought I did rather well acknowledging each contribution. Perhaps I can blame it on the martini that I had last evening.

Often, there are variations on the same melodies, Taggers. Perhaps you can point out which one I goofed on, buddy.

@panzade,

Hmmm, perhaps it is time for another Chopin etude, y'all.

Get the satire, McTag? Watched Brave Heart last evening, and I always appreciated Robert the Bruce.

Mel wasn't bad in that movie.

@edgarblythe,
My Gawd, edgar, that was fabulous. What a talent to take that repetitive chopsticks and turn in into two classical pieces and Jerry Lee's Great Balls of Fire. Loved it Texas.

Hmmm. You may want to listen to this bird for a bit, then delete it, folks.

Today is a famous Aussie's birthday, so let's listen to a crocodile man.

Mockingbirds can be a pain around here. They dive at the back of your head and also sing at night as you try to sleep. I am fairly tolerant of them. A man I used to work with actually shot one for disturbing his slumber. I had one attacking me every time I went out my back door. I scared the bejaysus out of it by carrying a wadded up white plastic trash bag outside with me, and then causing it to open up very suddenly, right before its eyes. It never bothered me again. We often have fun watching mockingbirds harrass squirrels, when the little rodents are trying to run along on the wires between telephone poles.
