Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, enjoyed Jerry Lee's version of "When the Saints..." Thanks, buddy.

Imur, welcome back. That was the most amazing video. I watched and listened twice. Thanks, Irish. We'll dedicate that one to msolga.

Hey, Brit. What a fantastic trip around the world with Pet Shop Boys. Love it!

Don't know Betty Carter, but I believe that The Singers Unlimited may have done a better job. Just listened to them perform "Killing Me Softly". Wow!

Hard to beat Oscar Peterson's Hymn to Freedom. Fabulous pianist. We miss you, buddy.

Here's a birthday gal for today, y'all. Talk about great!

@Letty,
Hmmm, well your PD is talking to herself again, but I do think we ought to recognize Eddie Van Halen's birthday.

@Tai Chi,
Love that, Tai. I would play a tribute to Paul Newman, but the poem that goes with it might make me sad again.

How about this one from a birthday girl.

@Letty,
I like Lucinda Williams, Letty.

Here's Jann Arden. She thought she was just talking to herself too:

@Tai Chi,
Wow! never heard Jane Arden before, gal. That was a great one by Miss Alberta. Thanks. (the ending was funny)

Well, I guess we could remember Paul Newman in happier times, y'all. Just ignore the advert.

@edgarblythe,
Always love, Leonard, edgar, and that was one that I have never heard before. Thanks for playing it, Texas. Hope things aren't as tough now. Yep, Mr. Cohen, That's no way to say goodbye.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I'm going to do so with two songs.

First one written by Johnny Mercer, and done by Harry Connick, Jr.

Now, y'all, one that I've been looking for and I don't think this is the one that I know.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY8OzQ-xhd0

Here is the version that I do know, but it ain't very good.

http://www.lyon.edu/wolfcollection/songs/applespanish1262.html

Strange, there's The Cavalier that is UVA's mascot; then there's cavalier treatment which is disdainful, and the last was the Spanish version.

Ok, I'll quit talking now and go to bed.

From Letty with love

@Barry The Mod,
I can try this afternoon. I am not computer literate. Don't be surprised if the effort fails. The track is Tangled Up in Blue, a live performance, with whiteface. - edit - I am at work and cannot use this for it.

Good morning, WA2K folks

Hey Brit, I'll Fly Away is from O Brother Where Art Thou. As I told tsar, The Cohen Bros. based that on the Odyssey and I found out that those bros had never read it.

Glad the frozen swan was unharmed.

Omnia's The Well was eerie, but the song was haunting. Thanks for the introduction.

Loved Tico Tico and I am always reminded of Ticomaya when I hear that. Here are the lyrics.

OH, TICO TICO, TICK!
OH, TICO TICO, TOCK!
THIS TICO TICO, HE'S THE CUCKOO IN MY CLOCK.
AND WHEN HE SAYS "CUCKOO,"
HE MEANS IT'S TIME TO WOO,
IT'S TICO TIME FOR ALL THE LOVERS
ON THE BLOCK.

I'VE GOT A HEAVY DATE,
A TETE A TETE AT EIGHT,
SO SPEAK, OH, TICO, TELL ME IF IT'S GETTING LATE?
IF I'M ON TIME, CUCKOO,
BUT, IF I'M LATE, WOO-WOO!
THE ONE MY HEART IS GONE TO MAY NOT WANT TO WAIT!

FOR JUST A BIRDIE, AND A BIRDIE WHO GOES
NOWHERE,
HE KNOWS OF EVERY LOVER'S LANE AND HOW TO GO
THERE;
FOR IN AFFAIRS OF THE HEART
MY TICO'S TERRIBLY SMART,
HE TELLS ME: "GENTLY, SENTIMENT'LY AT THE
START!"

OH, OH, I HEAR MY LITTLE TICO TICO CALLING
BECAUSE THE TIME IS RIGHT AND SHADES OF NIGHT
ARE FALLING.
I LOVE THAT NOT-SO-CUCKOO CUCKOO IN THE CLOCK,
TICO TICO TICO TICO TICO TOCK!!!

Don't know Dorito y Pepe, but I'm assuming it's about Shakespeare.

Hey, edgar. Thanks for listening to Old Cowhand and that was a terrible version of The Spanish Cavalier.

Love the Tangled up in Blue by Dylan, buddy. Hope it will coax Rockhead, AKA Mooseman, back with us.

Heard this one on Cold Case last evening, and I think it's fabulous, y'all.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNB1EUJg1-w

Also watched The List of Adrian Messenger on AMC, and for the life of me I cannot figure out what classical piece Kirk Douglass was playing.

Great movie with a surprise of disguise at the end.
