Hee! Hee! I declare, Bob, you are absolutely delightful, and if I split an infinitive, I promise I will personally mend it. I once told Walter that grammar is the most BORING thing that I have ever taught.

Any comments from our listeners?

Illiteration: He was the finest fellow ever I fiddled fer.

Even the Beatles goofed:

When You Were Young And Your Heart Was An Open Book
You Used To Say Life And Let Life
(You Know You Did, You Know You Did You Know You Did)
But In This Ever Changing World In Which We Live In
Makes You Give In And Cry
Say Live And Let Die
Live And Let Die
Live And Let Die
Live And Let Die

What Does It Matter To Ya
When You Got A Job To Do
You Gotta Do It Well
You Gotta Give The Other Fellow Hell

When You Were Young And Your Heart Was An Open Book
You Used To Say Life And Let Life
(You Know You Did, You Know You Did You Know You Did)
But In This Ever Changing World In Which We Live In
Makes You Give In And Cry

Okay, find the mistake. Like we care, right listeners?

I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)
The Proclaimers

When I wake up, well I know I'm gonna be,
I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you
When I go out, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you
If I get drunk, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who gets drunk next to you
And if I haver, hey I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's havering to you

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

When I'm working, yes I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's working hard for you
And when the money, comes in for the work I do
I'll pass almost every penny on to you
When I come home(When I come home), well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home to you
And if I grow old, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's growing old with you

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

Surrender

Surrender
(Surrender)

Da Da Da Dun Diddle Un Diddle Un Diddle Uh Da Da

Surrender
(Surrender)
Surrender
(Surrender)

Da Da Da Dun Diddle Un Diddle Un Diddle Uh Da Da

When I'm lonely, well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who's lonely without you
And when I'm dreaming, well I know I'm gonna dream
I'm gonna Dream about the time when I'm with you
When I go out(When I go out), well I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you
And when I come home(When I come home), yes I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who comes back home with you
I'm gonna be the man who's coming home with you

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door

Surrender

Da Da Da Dun Diddle Un Diddle Un Diddle Uh Da Da

And I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked 1,000 miles
To fall down at your door

I'm here seven days a week.
Monday to Monday, as it were.

It was a cloudy morning in Oulundi
I could see the rain in your eye
I was lookin' for a word to somehow make it right
But the only word I found was goodbye

I watched you from the doorway walkin' over the hill
Your hand shadow wavin'
Wavin' in the air and me saying he'll be back
He'll be back over and over like a prayer

Monday to Monday, scratching in the gold dust
You were so far so far away

Monday, Monday sometimes I'm forgettin'
The memory of your sweet face slips away

Monday to Monday but he'll be home
Sometime I'll be home

It's terrible-terrible loving you from so far
Our flower struggling in the desert sand
Watered with the dry words on scraps of paper
Written by a stranger's hand

But one day our home will green again
And our babies they will play under the Jacaranda tree
You and I will be loving close, close
A day will come when we'll be free

Monday to Monday a mile down in the darkness

Prayin', prayin' to Morena

Monday to Monday, I can't ride on the blue train

Watching for you by the roadside

Monday to Monday I'm fighting with the feeling

So far, so far, so far away

But I'll be home someday

He'll be coming home

Monday to Monday a way down in the darkness

Praying praying to Morena

Monday to Monday, mina neizobuya

Monday to Monday thinking on your sweet eyes

Thinking, thinking on your strong hands

Monday to Monday, time she sure go slowly

Monday to Monday, can't ride, ride on the blue train

Mondag to Monday, one day I'll be coming home

Monday to Monday, hold on to yesterday

Ooh I need your love babe,
Guess you know it's true.
Hope you need my love babe,
Just like I need you.
Hold me, love me, hold me, love me.
Ain't got nothin'but love babe,
Eight days a week.

Love you ev'ry day girl,
Always on my mind.
One thing I can say girl,
Love you all the time.
Hold me, love me, hold me, love me.
Ain't got nothin'but love babe,
Eight days a week.

Eight days a week
I love you.
Eight days a week
Is not enough to show I care.

Ooh I need your love babe, ...

Eight days a week ...

Love you ev'ry ...

Eight days a week. eight days a week. eight days a week.

edgar and dj, Each song you sing; each thing you say is of importance to all of us.

Often we think that we are voices crying in the wilderness, but even the smallest voice is eventually heard.

What is important, my dear friends, is that we say it honestly.

op. ed.

It seems to be the thing to do to bash religion and to question leaders. It seems that all of us want to be heard. Of course we do, listeners, and the problems that face many of us is that we see the same old questions and arguments on this forum. One thing that I must reiterate. Look at what people say; listen to what they sing. Underneath the glibness; lying beneath the surface of our lives is a need to be recognized. And it isn't just the case of "waving our arms wildly", it's the dignity of a response to the problems addressed.

Do you know why I don't do quotes listeners? Because I like the idea of saying a person's name, instead of saying: Letty said; dj said; edgar said;
etc.

Often, audience, it is difficult to ascertain who said what on a station that has accumulated so many responses, but let's think for a moment what we would do were we sitting in your home; on your couch, whatever you may call it, wherever you live.

One thing is for certain, folks. We have a voice. Let it be heard. I know you each by name. More than likely, I will never meet any of you in real life, and I wonder if it would make a difference if we could.

When I close with the expression, "from Letty with love", I mean that. Soooo I take everything too seriously, and what, exactly, is wrong with that? Nothing!

I Want to Be Wanted
Brenda Lee

(Wanted, wanted)
Alone, so alone that I could cry
I want to be wanted (wanted).
Alone, watching lovers passing by -
I want to be wanted.

When I am kissed, I want his lips to really kiss me.
When we're apart, I want his heart to really miss me.
I want to know he loves me so his eyes are misting.
That's the way - I want to be loved.

Alone, just my lonely heart knows how
I want to be wanted (wanted) - right now
Not tomorrow, but right now.
I want to be wanted.

I want someone to share my love with and my dreams with
Someone I know I'd love to spend a million years with.
Where is this someone somewhere meant for me?

(Alone) Just my lonely heart knows how
I want to be wanted (Right now) -
Not tomorrow, but right now.
I want to be wanted.

I want someone to share my laughter and my tears with
Someone I know I'd love to spend a million years with.
Where is this someone somewhere meant for me?
(Someone somewhere) Meant for me.

Ah, yes, edgar. I suppose men get tired of being the master of the house, right?

Someone to Watch Over Me
(Gershwin)

There's a saying old says that love is blind
Still we're often told "seek and ye shall find"
So I'm going to seek a certain girl I've had in mind
Looking everywhere, haven't found her yet
She's the big affair I cannot forget
Only girl I ever think of will regret

I'd like to add her initial to my monogram
Tell me where's the shepherd for this lost lamb

There's a somebody I'm longing to see
I hope that she turns out to be
Someone who'll watch over me

I'm a little lamb who's lost in a wood
I know I could always be good
To one who'll watch over me

Although she may not the girl some men think of
As handsome to my heart
She carries the key

Won't you tell her please to put on some speed
Follow my lead, oh how I need
Someone to watch over me
Someone to watch over me

Yeah, men get tired of lording it over the world and having things go their way. He he. Truth is, my wife has all the freedom from tyranny she is willing to handle. I may work with her for solutions, but never try to force any.

this song has been bouncing around in my head for a few days now, i don't know why, but here it is

He remembers the first time he met her
He remembers the first thing she said
He remembers the first time he held her
And the night that she came to his bed

He remembers her sweet way of singin'
Honey has somethin' gone wrong
He remembers the fun and the teasin'
And the reason he wrote her this song

I'll give you a daisy a day dear
I'll give you a daisy a day
I'll love you until the rivers run still
And the four winds we know blow away

They would walk down the street in the evenin'
And for years I would see them go by
And their love that was more than the clothes that they wore
Could be seen in the gleam of their eye

As a kid they would take me for candy
And I loved to go taggin' along
We'd hold hands while we walked to the corner
And the old man would sing her his song

I'll give you a daisy a day dear
I'll give you a daisy a day
I'll love you until the rivers run still
And the four winds we know blow away

Now he walks down the street in the evenin'
And he stops by the old candy store
And I somehow believe he's believin'
He's holdin' her hand like before

For he feels all her love walkin' with him
And he smiles at the things she might say
Then the old man walks up to the hilltop
And gives her a daisy a day

I'll give you a daisy a day dear
I'll give you a daisy a day
I'll love you until the rivers run still
And the four winds we know blow away

Git-up there yeah oh, oh

Oh wringle wrangle jinggy jong jangle
Mighty fine horse I'm in love of course
Cause I got me a pretty woman's love

Oh wringle wrangle jinggy jong jangle
Spurs on my boots and I don't give a hoot
Cause I got me a pretty woman's love

With a dollars worth of beans, a new pair of jeans
Got a woman to cook and wash and things

Oh wringle wrangle jinggy jong jangle
If I die I ain't a-gonna cry
Cause I got me a pretty woman's love

Wringle wrangle, wringle wrangle
Yes I got me a pretty woman's love

edgar, It doesn't really matter what we think of our respective companions. What matters is that we simply want someone to help us out in times of troubles and make the scales balance, understand?

There is no one, and I mean no one who doesn't need an angel standing in the wings. Isn't it interesting that man has always wanted to have wings? Did it ever occur to anyone here that the shoulder blades may well have been wings at one time, or that the appendix may have been a second stomach? I was once told that I had a winging scapula. That was the way of the AMA explaining something that they did NOT understand.

Given To Fly
Pearl Jam

He could've tuned in, tuned in
But he tuned out
A bad time, nothing could save him
Alone in a corridor, waiting, locked out
He got up outta there, ran for hundreds of miles
He made it to the ocean, had a smoke in a tree
The wind rose up, set him down on his knee

A wave came crashing like a fist to the jaw
Delivered him wings, "Hey, look at me now"
Arms wide open with the sea as his floor
Oh, power, oh

He's.. flying
Whole…
High.. wide, oh

He floated back down 'cause he wanted to share
His key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere
But first he was stripped and then he was stabbed
By faceless men, well, f**kers
He still stands

And he still gives his love, he just gives it away
The love he receives is the love that is saved
And sometimes is seen a strange spot in the sky
A human being that was given to fly

High.. flying
Oh, oh
High.. flying
Oh, oh
He's…flying
Oh, oh

Pearl Jam

I wish I was a neutron bomb, for once I could go off.
I wish I was a sacrifice but somehow still lived on.
I wish I was a sentimental ornament you hung on
The christmas tree,
I wish I was the star that went on top,
I wish I was the evidence
I wish I was the grounds
for fifty million hands up raised
and opened toward the sky.

I wish I was a sailor with someone who waited for me.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.
I wish I was a messenger, and all the news is good.
I wish I was the full moon shining off your camaro's hood.

I wish I was an alien, at home behind the sun,
I wish I was the souvenir you kept your house key on.
I wish I was the pedal break that you depended on.
I wish I was the verb to trust, and never let you down.

I wish I was the radio song, the one that you turned up,
I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish,
I guess it never stops.

Claude Pelieu and J. J. Lebel Discuss the Early Verlaine Bread Crust Fragments

I remember the bread crusts of Paris
shining in the rain
I remember the bread crusts of Paris
scattered in the dawn
O let's walk down the long boulevards of breath
and remember the bread crusts of Paris
O Claude O Claude
Do you remember the bread crusts of Paris
O Claude O Claude O Claude
Do you remember
Bread crusts soft when we slush in the snow
Bread crusts hard when the sun dries the rain
O I can't fail to know
How the night clogs up the day
As I cry
As I cry
I remember the bread crusts of Paris
Shining in the rain
I remember the bread crusts of Paris
Scattered in the dawn
O let's walk down the long boulevards of breath
And remember the bread crusts of Paris
O Claude O Claude do you remember
O Claude the bread crusts of Paris
O Claude
Do you remember
O Claude
The bread crusts
Claude

dj, my dear Canadian friend. Often we do not understand the "arms wide open with the sea as his floor."

Perhaps, listeners, that is what Icarus and his wax wings was trying to tell us.

Goodnight to you, all of my friends from around the world.

For all we know we may never meet again
Before you go make this moment sweet again
We won't say "Good night" until the last minute
I'll hold out my hand and my heart will be in it

For all we know this may only be a dream
We come and go like a ripple on a stream
So love me tonight; tomorrow was made for some
Tomorrow may never come for all we know

<instrumental interlude>

So love me tonight; tomorrow was made for some
Tomorrow may never come for all we know

When the Mode of the Music Changes

when the mode of the music changes
when the mode of the music is changed
when the mode of the music changes
the walls of the city shake

He who does not dance neither shall he eat
he who does not prance neither shall he drink
he who won't romance neither can he think
he who does not dance neither shall he eat

you can have the men who make the laws
you can have the men who make the laws
you can have the men who make the laws
give me the music makers

when beauty barks i heel
when beauty barks i heel
when beauty barks i heel
when beauty barks i heel

beware a man who is not moved by sound
beware a man who is not moved by sound
beware a man who is not moved by sound
he'll drag you to the ground drag you to the ground

come dance with me come dance with me in johnson's land
come dance with me we'll beat that hoary band

music hath alarums to wild the civil breast
music hath alarums to wild the civil breast
music hath alarums to wild the civil breast
it does not bring me rest it does not bring me rest

but in the bitter end this wildness brings me rest
i sleep in the eye of the storm and in the startling end
bluewhiteness makes me calm
i dream in the eye of the wind
