Where do the children play?
Cat Stevens has a thought or two -

Thanks for the Christmas songs, letty and jpb. It is some of my favorite music, as all know by now.

Wow! Welcome back JPB. I wondered where you were and even asked the mooseman. Thanks for that version of the song by Nat. Love it and him.

Oops, edgar. Thanks for the explanation, Texas.

Today is Tim Reid's birthday, y'all; remember WKRP?

Here's an update on Venus Flytrap.

Tim Reid has/had a house in Cville. I don't know if he still does.
Well, Miss Letty, there isn't much stomping going on in your old stomping ground of Albemarle-Nelson counties, Virginia. We are up to 16" of snow and it is now coming down harder than I have seen it since it started at 4 pm Friday. Another 6" predicted before it ends tonight.

We got another couple of inches of snow yesterday. We'll have a white Christmas for sure, but nothing like the folks on the east coast are dealing with.

Mr B drove out to Iowa yesterday to collect his grandmother and bring her back. They decided to head back today instead of tomorrow. 9 hours each way makes for a lot of driving. Safe journeys to all who are out and about.

@JPB,
What a wonderful traditional song, JPB. Irving Berlin wrote a lot of good ones.
That crooner sounds great as usual.

The version that was on TCM the other evening, was the 1954 version

Today is Jennifer Beals' birthday, and I think this is her most popular movie, y'all.

Have some chores to do, so I'll be back later to acknowledge our contributors. In the mean time, here's a lovely choir and vocalist doing their version of David Royal City, y'all.

JPB, Loved that by Snoopy. Even the bloody red Baron gets all warm and fuzzy at Christmas time.

edgar, Mitch Miller's It Must be Santa brought back some memories. Thanks, Texas.

Ah, George. Loved that version of Frosty the Snowman. Thanks, Mr Candle.

Rocky, I never did see that movie that you and edgar have talked about. The last thing that I saw Slim Pickens in was Dr. Strangelove. Wow, I miss Peter Sellers.

That silent film was great. Love the music in the background, too, Kansas. I'll never think of Thomas Edison in the same way, however, after knowing what he did to Nicole Tessla.

The Brits will get a kick out of this. Us mericans never pronounce the T properly, and our choir director kept stopping us in the middle of rehearsal and saying, It's NOT we three kings of orienTAR. He was funny and played at Dave's first memorial service.

Hear it is, the Tar magi.
