Afternoon, mooseman and welcome back. Glad that you are all right, and you know how I love James Taylor. Thanks, Kansas.

Check out Al Hirt and Vera Lynn, folks. They are both worth a listen.

This next song was inspired by a buddy of mine.

@edgarblythe,
Never heard of Love, edgar, but that was an awesome montage of faces in color and the song was good, but strange.

Here's one that includes colors of the wind, y'all.

We hear about the influences on Jerry Lee Lewis's music, but many overlook Moon Mullican. Jerry pays tribute to him lots of times in his career.

Only thing, I never saw Moon kick his bench over or set the piano on fire.

that Moon song reminded of the Milk Cow Blues.
Here's the original(sort of) by Kokomo Arnold

Now Moon takes it up a notch>

Now Elvis rips it up!

Finally, in 1973 Bob Wills & his Playboys recreate their 1953 hit.
This is some sublime ensemble playing

I'm sorry about taking up so much space letty but American popular music is my passion.

edgar, are you saying that Jerry Lee kicked over his piano bench and set the keyboard on fire? Wasn't it Mrs. O'Leary's cow that started the Chicago fire?

This must be cow day on WA2K. Love it.

Hey, panz. That's what we're here for, buddy, to listen and to play. Loved all of those versions of Milk Cow Blues.

How about some pig foot boogie woogie.

Had no idea that Ella Mae Morse had done that one, folks

I read a few times that Chuck Berry's Maybelline is a variation of Milk Cow Blues. I am not smart enough to get all that much connection out of it.

edgar, thanks for the Chuck Berry song. Really like that one. Doesn't matter if one can make a connection, right?

With all the cows on our radio today, somewhere there is a lonely bull.

Oops, the Brit just snuck in here and did an air tap. Acknowledge later, buddy
