Mr. Wizard, that was the only example that I could find, and you know that I would never dispute you on quality, etc.

Hey, Welcome back, Brit. Love that Tourist song with Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart. Yep, I know the feeling. It's always good to be back home again. (just ask John Denver)

Today is Billy Barty's birthday. Remember him, y'all?

Each year, I write something for Christmas. Sometimes I like the result, sometimes not. The big problem for me is, all the cliches and nice phrases are overworked by thousands of writers and would be writers. It's hard to get beyond that and still sound "Christmasy." The following may or may not be subject to revision, pending further review.

"My Gift For You Will Be"
written with Tony Bennet's voice in my ear

My gift to you will be
More than a prize
Underneath a Christmas tree

Wise and wonderful bride
A star will take us
On a magical ride

Soon you will see
The world below us will be
A jewel in the mist

O’er it we pause
Shocking Mister Claus
With a long lover’s kiss

My love for you will be
More than a prize
More than a prize

I recall Mr Barty very well, letty. Your song, Yes it Will Be a Good Day - My wife came down with something we thought to be the flu. Turned out to be bronchitus, which is not good, but at least she won't spread any flu around. So, it was a semi good day.
When I think of Bernstein, his name conjures for me the Bearenstein Bears - cartoon folk. Very Happy

@edgarblythe,
edgar, of all the things that you could give someone for Christmas, that poem is more valuable than gems. Thank you.

Ah, Tell Mrs. edgar that I've been there. Finally completely cured both my infected sinuses and the bronchitus with an anti biotic nasal spray.

Perhaps tomorrow will be a better day.

My Goodnight song, folks.

I believe I posted this before but I believe this is a better clip -- clicking on the HQ now enlarges the image at YouTube, but don't know if it works here. It's the National Symphony Orchestra of Great Britain conducted by Simon Rattle in the great Royal Prince Albert Hall with Mahler, Symphony No. 8 (Symphony of a Thousand, and obviously they are all there!) at a Proms Concert several years ago -- I still have it on my old DMR which I rarely use and should burn it to a DVD 'cause there is no CD or DVD that I remember:

Thanks, Rock, for The Three Little Birds by Mr. Marley.

Mr. Wizard, the symphony was not only beautiful, but the words were as well. Thank you, O Wizard of Light.

Today is Pat Conroy's birthday. Remember the Prince of Tides?

Here's a tribute to the book and the movie.
