@edgarblythe,
Thanks, edgar for Sweet America by Buffy, and Sachmo is always great.

Feeling somewhat better, but I need to say goodnight.

Hoping that our Roberta will come through her surgery, and that our Izzie does as well.

Found some info on King Harvest, y'all.

King Harvest was a 1970s American rock band.

Formed by a group of four American expatriates in Paris, France in 1970, King Harvest was best known for its one US hit single, "Dancing In The Moonlight", in 1973. Although the band had a constantly fluctuating membership, it always included its four core co-founders: Dave "Doc" Robinson (lead vocals/bass/keyboards), Ron Altbach (keyboards), Ed Tuleja (guitar), and Rod Novak (saxophone), all of whom had previously attended Cornell University. At one time, the band consisted of three keyboardists, with Sherman Kelly (who wrote "Dancing in the Moonlight") joining Altbach and Robinson. Sherman Kelly's brother, drummer Wells Kelly, who would later go on to form the band Orleans also served a brief stint in the group both in Paris and in the US. It was Wells who introduced the group to "Dancing in the Moonlight," but he left Paris before the song was recorded. French musician Didier Alexandre also joined the band in the early 1970s. Steve Cutler, a jazz drummer from New York City, joined King Harvest for their last six months in Paris, recording "Dancing in the Moonlight" and playing clubs and concerts in Paris and London. A 45 rpm record was released in Paris, with "Lady, Come Home To Me" on the B-side. The single languished and the group disbanded, to be reformed in the States for the rerelease of "Dancing in the Moonlight" by Perception

Good morning, peeples. (When I write peeples, it's because I am recalling a poster from Abuzz. He called himself something like Reddy Peeples)

edgar, Don't recall that one from the original cast of Hair. Thanks, Texas.

Hey, Brit. Loved the Lowry paintings and I did more research on the guy. How sad is the life of divergent thinkers.

Sleepy John made me think of the dangers of hooded eyelids. Bud knew a guy named "sleepy" Greever who had such a problem. He worked with NASA for a while.

Ah, edgar, memories of Abuzz. Setanta called it Afuzz.

My song for the morning involves painter Lowry.

Quote for the day from that painter.

"You don't need brains to be a painter, just feelings."
"I am not an artist. I am a man who paints."
"This art is a terrible business."

Now, Feelings.

Too bad the song is so out of sync.

@edgarblythe,
Funny, edgar. I thought the song was a tribute to someone named Fellings. Rolling Eyes

Well, y'all, today is Tom Petty's birthday. Who knows if his name is spelled correctly.

@Letty,
The song was to Fellings. I just saw some humor there.
I am staying home today. I plan to be working on the house a big part of the time.

@edgarblythe,
I usually have a good sense of levity, edgar, but I missed that one.

A couple of songs for the noon hour, y'all.

First a Chopin classic.

Raggedy informed me that Cornel Wilde did his life story.

Now a memory.

Dave did this for his dad, and now I'm doing it for him.

@Rockhead,
Thanks Rock, Love The Rhythm of the Falling Rain by Dan. Wish I'd hear some rhythm on my roof. If you're wearing tights, be certain that you don't get hit by the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. Razz Thanks for the hugs.

Don't quite understand this one by Leonard, but I love it, y'all.

Many references are to King David, however.

@panzade,
Have no idea why I knew King Harvest, panz.

Love that Smoke from a Distant Fire. As hbg used to say, "that's a toe tappin song." Yep, folks, smoke from a distant fire inspired me to send this one to Roberta, since the song is FROM Roberta.

This gal does a great job, y'all; need to find out what happened to her.
