Thanks, dys for the John Fogerty songs and the tip on yet another movie by Peter Sellers.

Hey, JPB. I didn't think that was the right Four Brothers, 'cause I didn't know them myself. Do vaguely remember Woody Herman and his ebony clairnet, however.

Love Patsy Cline. Another victim of a plane crash if I recall correctly. Like After Midnight and "Crazy" as well. Thanks, gal.

Today is Sid Caesar's birthday, and he is still with us, folks.

First a funny but serious message from the man; then a trailer from Mad, Mad,Mad, Mad world.

To me, this movie was hilarious.

Hi, peeples. I went from work to my son's home and finished working on his A/C this afternoon. Then, after all that sun, came in and had a snooze in my easy chair.

@edgarblythe,
You just reminded me of something you responded to soooo long ago, edgar.

I think I titled it, "see what condition my air conditioning was in". Nothing wrong with Letty's RNA, y'all.

Remind edgar, Kenny.

Incidentally, that Sid Caesar bit reminded me of Cavfancier/Paul's "Memoirs of my Grandfather." check it out.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with Matt Monroe again. It has been a complicated day, y'all.

Good morning. Yesterday was a bit unusual for me. Normally I post songs and comment a bit, but yesterday, as a result of long physical activity, I just didn't have the spirit to do any music. This afternoon I shall be back! See y'all then.

Hey, Brit, that song was intriguing. Love Mark Knopfler's Fish and the Bird. Especially liked the flute sound. Thanks, London.

edgar, I hope you feel better today. Heat can make us all dwindle. Very hot here, too.

Today is Billy Preston's birthday, so here is one by him. Then I shall play a surprise song by Paul Robeson, y'all.

Billy

Now Paul

It appears that Paul loved Wales.

(aside to JPB. Hope I spelled clarinet correctly)

@edgarblythe,
Oops, edgar, missed your We Live in Two Different Worlds by Jerry Lee. Love that one. Did Gentleman Jim sing that one as well?

Wow! Loved Bobby Womack's "Everyone's Gone to the Moon". Great melody, Texas. Thanks!

This one was inspired by Cyracuz who is coming to New York city with some friends.

I always liked Tony Bennet's I'll Take Manhattan, but the one you played is just as good, letty.

I don't recall who had the original hit of We Live in Two Different Worlds.

Shadows does this lute number. I don't know what it's called.

@edgarblythe,
That was a very calming song, edgar. Loved the visuals as well. The lute was beautiful.

Two songs, y'all. One by Hank Williams, the consummate poet, and the other as a tribute to smokin gun whose birthday was yesterday. He's the fellow from Northern Ireland.

Now for you, your wife, and your son, Irish.

@Rockhead,
Hey, Rock, what's a man from Duluth doing singing about the Piedmont area. Love the song, however.

Now here's a Blue Ridge Mountain song, y'all.
