@edgarblythe,
edgar, I love T for Texas. The lyrics that I know are a bit different than the ones that Waylon sang.

I tried my best to find ul ul's back in town by Nat Cole with no luck.

Here's a trio of songs by The Four Freshmen, however, and Nat did two of them. Sweet Lorraine is silly, however.

@edgarblythe,
Another one of those "Up All Night I COULD NOT SLEEP. edgar, you must have been as worn to a frazzle as I. Loved that Kingston Trio song, buddy. Just discovered that they are the ones who did "Hang Down Your Head Tom Dooley"

“To be worn to a frazzle” is a chiefly American colloquialism originating in the early 1800s, meaning “to wear out, or become unraveled and torn to rags or ribbons,” as defined by the Oxford English Dictionary " OED, for short.

Good early morning, WA2K folks

Nat's Sweet Lorraine.

Hmmm, maybe some coffee will help.

Looking from my window, I once again saw a setting full moon. There is nothing more captivating, y'all. There is no twilight here in Florida, which for some unknown reason, I tend to miss.

Here's a surprise. James Taylor singing Paper Moon. Can't decide if I like it or not.

@Barry The Mod,
Hey, Brit. I love that guy. His Hollywood song says it right, and his home grown tomatoes is funny. He has a great voice as well.

Every hear of tommy toes? Have no idea where that expression originates, but I just had two or three with my pancakes and sausage.

Found this funny song, y'all.

just some morning thoughts here since I was called the most sleazy member of a2k yesterday because I don't like john denver. Now the thing is I like much of john denver's music (especially his early work) but after working with him I found him to be a detestable human being, on the other hand I could never take alice coopers music but I found him to be a remarkably caring and compassionate human being. anyway here's to everyone on wa2k this morning especially miss lettybetty and edgar;

I like some of Denver's songs. Can't think of any Alice Cooper I like. On the other hand, I have never read anything negative about Alice.

edgar, That is the second instrumental that I have heard by The Singing Ranger. The first was El Rancho Grande. Thanks, Texas.

Hee, hee. James Taylor did It's Only a Paper Moon, buddy. That funny tommy toe song I found by accident.

Strange, dys. When I couldn't sleep, I did some research on The Beatitudes. Can't recall exactly what you said, but at least it inspired me to do research.

Hmmm, Can't say that I liked Mule Skinner Blues, buddy. As to John Denver, someone once told me that it didn't matter if they were **** as long as they didn't perform like ****. Love his music, however, although I never met the man.

Oddly, I like this song by Alice Cooper.

When I first heard this song, I thought that "bleeding" referred to hurting within the soul. Later I saw that it was physical abuse of a woman, a sorta co-dependent thing.

one of my all time favs who I heard many times in the Village NYC 1968, Dave van Ronk; Bob Dylan basically stole much of Dave's music.

@dyslexia,
Dys, loved St. James Infirmary. That's an old song and it's origins are obscure, but I read somewhere that it was about a baby who had died at birth.

Your Dave Von Ronk song reminded me of this one, cowboy.

I love John Denver's West Virginia, incidentally.

Often, y'all, we tend to like a particular song because we associate it with a certain time in our lives. This is one of those John Denver songs that makes me remember.

oft times I post on this thread because I feel it's a safe place, Lady Diane's doc just called me to express her concerns about the lady and asked me what she could do and that she would see Diane anytime. I'm thinking this is not a typical doc response and I thanked her just for calling.

Oft times I play water music to make me feel calm and safe, dys. Maybe this will help your mal de mer.

Salvatore, Knight Adamo, simply known as Adamo (born 1 November 1943) is a Belgian composer and singer of ballads, mainly in French, but also in other languages such as Italian and Spanish. He had commercial success during the sixties and seventies, mostly in Europe and Latin America, but also in Japan and the US. Adamo has sold 100 million albums worldwide. He now lives in Belgium near the city of Mons, and is still touring. He is of Sicilian/Italian ancestry

Another discovery, and we'll dedicate this to Diane and her unusual doctor.
