I can't do whiskey. Never could. Lone Star for me, please. I have long respected Pat Morita. I turned the volume down for the music, though.

Yep. She is Pat's daughter. She did that song well; then I never heard anything else from her.

I saw the story about the song's author. Shows to go that people live on dozens of levels.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that guy is probably the saddest of all.

Hey, it's HenryVIII's birthday. How about a little fun.

@edgarblythe,
Edgar, Didn't the Jackson 5 sing that one? Don't believe that I ever heard it by The Osmonds.

Well, folks, it's Sunday, so how about a song of love.

This group is a little ragged, but they are good.

Speaking of "ragged" our Raggedyaggie is all right. Heard from her, and the green sea turtle(yitwail) is all right as well.

Just talked to my son, and he sounded so good that I had to remind myself of the love that will not let me go.

Good morning. I am posting from my job, where no music is possible. Hope everybody is well and happy this day. The good news is, we will not reach 103 degrees again today - just 100. Smile

@edgarblythe,
Well, edgar, equipment needs replacing once in a while. Thanks for your concern, Texas. Really liked Bob's freight train song, 'cause it fits right in with today's theme.

I swear, y'all, Tiny Tim was better than I thought. That was one great song. Glad that we didn't have to tiptoe through the tulips.

Today is Nelson Eddy's birthday, and the sea and Captain Morgan are in the spotlight.

If I recall correctly, one of Boston's notables was a rum runner.

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum. Drunk

Over the mountain and across the sea, Johnny, that is where I long to be.

Nelson did a lot of singing there. Fortunately, he is good enough to be worth the time.

@edgarblythe,
Never heard that one by the Fisher- man, edgar, but I see how it fits. Thanks, buddy.

Well, y'all, there's "homeward bound", and then there's taking off. Unfortunately, the take off from Clear Lake in North Dakota wasn't what Don McLean had in mind. Today is Gary Bussey's birthday, and I had forgotten that he did the story of Buddy Holly's life in a movie.

Is he good? Let's listen.

I like Gary's portrayal of Buddy, but always felt they ought to have used Buddy's voice in the singing segments.

It's Johnny Ace's birthday. He was one of the first crossover singers. Very popular. He died before a scheduled performance playing Russian roulette.
