When See Ya Later Alligator was a hit, I had never heard of rock n roll. I just assumed Alligator was an odd novelty song.

I've got sixpence
Jolly, jolly sixpence
I've got sixpence
To last me all my life
I've got tuppence to spend
And tuppence to lend
And tuppence to send home to my wife
Poor wife . . .

No cares have i to grieve me
No pretty little girls to deceive me
I'm happy as a king believe me
As we go rolling, rolling home . . .

This eagle's wings are wet, and as for watering, I think I'll pass on that.

edgar, if you have poison oak, keep it away from me. The worse reaction that I have ever had was to that awful stuff. Dumb Letty decorated for the senior prom with that stuff. Incidentally, Texas. You talking about the golden spiral or the lemur? Somthing tells me it's the latter.

Here's a song that reflects my area.

Barry sent me down an Allen Toussaint path. Been listening to his tunes much of the day. Here's one.

@JPB,
Hey, JPB, welcome back. Loved your Allen Toussaint songs, gal, and the Nelson Bros song was just what I needed; thanks, Ms. Squirrel

Hmmm, folks, I do believe Allen left his hat in Haiti.

Hope this works, y'all as I.E. has been obstreperous lately

oops, with the wind and the rain in my hair and my eyes, I missed edgar's Porter Wagoner song. That Carroll County Accident was good, Texas.

My word, folks, did NOT see that dog come in either. How in the world do you know that song, Irish?

I think Mr. Wizard decided the live one was better, edgar. Tried my best to find a video on Chewing Gum, without much luck, y'all. It goes something like:

My Mamma gave me a nickel
To buy a pickel
I didn't buy a pickel
I buyed some chewing gum.

Well, let's hear sixpence on the tube, shall we?

This one is Joe Loss, too.

Back later with my goodnight songs, folks.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I shall do so with two songs. Today is Cher's birthday and I chose one by her and David Bowie.

Then, because I met a young man from Thailand today, I shall play a Thai song.

First, Cher and David.

Now from Thailand

and, as always,
