@Izzie,
Time in a bottle?

If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty
Except for the memory
Of how they were answered by you

Robbie Robertson;

I wanna breathe when you breathe
When you whisper like that hot
summer breeze
Count the beads of sweat that cover me
Didn't you show me a sign, this time

Who else is gonna bring you
A broken arrow
Who else is gonna bring you
A bottle of rain
There he goes, moving across the water
There he goes turning my whole
world around

Time in a bottle was the song we listened to on the road to Fort Dix, when my brother was there. It was most appropriate for the situation.

JPB, That didn't sound like Jim Croce somehow, but I love him, and "Time in a Bottle" was all that he had, I'm afraid. edgar, I'm sure you look back at you and your brother listening to that song with fondness.

Incidentally, that Korean baby singing Hey Jude defies description. What a precious little thing. The bow at the end was perfect.

Strange, All over the land at my ancestral home lies quartz arrow heads and my dad and oldest sister even found one mortar and pestel.

Here's dys's song set to music, y'all.

OH............. I CAN SLEEP NOW. Thanku so much.

This is about a friend far far away who is dear in my heart.

If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that Id like to do
Is to save every day
Till eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you

If I could make days last forever
If words could make wishes come true
Id save every day like a treasure and then,
Again, I would spend them with you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them
Ive looked around enough to know
That youre the one I want to go
Through time with

If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty
Except for the memory
Of how they were answered by you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them
Ive looked around enough to know
That youre the one I want to go
Through time with

Just............... a feeling for my freind near or far.

i must sleep..................................xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

THANKU................ LOVE YOU XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Thanku all so much for doing this............... thanku. Lovin' y';; = nite.

Oh my God, JPB. I just figured it out. You clever squirrel. Izzie's song was Time in a Bottle.

Thanks, edgar. I wasn't familiar with Robbie, but the "broken arrow" message was lovely.

We'll dedicate this to dys via Diane. Another Michel Legrand song!

Letty, Robbie Robertson was a member of The Band, a group that had some wonderful albums on their own (The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down is theirs) and they were Bob Dylan's band for a long time.

Thanks, edgar. I recall that now.

My goodness, folks. Just the mention of a Canuck brought our dj back to us. Hey, I love that Parklife by Blur. A cockney Brit singing about life in the park. Love it!

Fun, fun, fun, dj. Preserving the Village Green by Kate Rusty was great. I recognized Donald Duck; Sherlock Holmes; the Tudor architect, and, of course, Strawberry preserves.

This is so odd, folks. Yes, we'll call it synchronicity again. Today is Dennis Hopper's birthday, and guess what I'm going to play. That's right, The Weight. Guess who the song is by? I'll leave that up to edgar. Never quite figured out the meaning of this one, but who cares. It's from the movie, Easy Rider.

Time for me to say goodnight, y'all, and since today is Maureen O'Sullivan's birthday, we'll play this one from Tarzan and His Mate.

Hey, Raggedy. This one is for you.

Better not say, "Goodnight; sleep tight; don't let the bed bugs bite, 'cause there has been an invasion of the little critters recently in the U.S.

How about....

Tomorrow, folks

Ah, I watched every one of those Tarzan films.
And, The Weight first appeared on The Band's debut album, Music at Big Pink. Mighty fine stuff.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

dj, that was a fascinating song by The Kinks. Happy Victoria Day.

edgar, Leonard Cohen's song to Victoria was odd just as Leonard always is. I guess that is what makes him so "amazing". Razz

Loved your goodnight song, incidentally. Vaughn sounded good on that Johnny Horton one.

Good morning, John of Virginia.

Interesting, y'all. I have a rare book titled "Lives of the Queens of England" and it's dedicated to Queen Victoria.

Two morning songs. First a look at Victoria Falls named after the queen.

and since it is George Strait's birthday, one by him.

letty, your George Strait song is a good one. Few of his are bad, in fact. This is my favorite, however.
