Face the Music and Dance - very nice, but I have a knock out version of it on record, by Tony Bennett, from 1964.
Big Head Todd. Didn't know, but not bad.
Dutchy's Zorba dancers - I watched that video a few months ago. At least I think it's the same one.

Darius Rucker is new to me, but very good.
What 'll I Do I know but don't recall which artists I have listened to it by. Carol's tribute befits the man.
Now, here's Kate Smith:

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that Gaelic lullaby was so calming, that I had a nap myself. I especially enjoyed the video by the famous artists, Texas. Judy Collins is awesome as usual.

I think many people have done "Let's Face the Music and Dance". I'll check out Tony's later. I do appreciate your counterpointe, however.

Well, folks, although I do NOT care for this artist, today is his birthday, so here is a tribute to Salvadore Dali. There is a Dali museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Ah, Kate Smith. Need to listen to that one later as well.

That video gave a broad range of Dali's work, much more than I have ever seen. I did not care for his melted clocks and death's head representations. Mainly I did not like his mustache.

@edgarblythe,
You gave me a smile about Dali's mustache, edgar. I really enjoyed Kate Smith's God bless America.

Sorta smiling through my tears, however, because this one, both the Ray Charles version and the original, made me a bit misty.

Perhaps I like this because Katherine Lee Bates was a teacher.

Now, Ray Charles.

Ray had the ability to make one misty or any other way he wanted one to feel. And, the song, America the Beautiful, was my favorite song about love of country. Hooray For the Red White and Blue is another one I love.

@edgarblythe,
Me, too, edgar. Wow! and it's not even the 4th of July.

Just looked out my studio window and it's raining, but it's coming down on a sunny day.

Nope, Rod, it's been a while for us here in Florida.

Heard from Raggedyaggie (the blue pup) she's ok, and also heard from hebba (the wood sculpture) He's all right as well.

I like Rod's version of that song better than the original. If it rains very much, you might want one of these:

@edgarblythe,
ah, edgar, I remember that one.

How about a rubber dolly?

Can you believe this, Texas?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBV1yUIIdcU&feature=related

My Mamma told me if I be goody
that she would buy me a rubber dolly,
Now don't you tell her I got a feller
Or she won't by me a rubber dolly.

Ah, a talent show in high school.

Here's a good one about graduation day, y'all.

Who would expect Rubber Dolly that way? But, the kid is good.
I thought I knew all the Lettermen's songs, but that was a surprise.

edgar, I vaguely remember that "...island of romance..." by The Four Preps. Thanks, Texas.

Dutchy, Welcome back. That Hallelujah song by Alexandra Burke was fabulous. Thanks downunderman.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I had better hurry and do so as the thunder is rolling.

Two songs will do it. Enrico Caruso first.(I had no idea there was an earthquake in Italy last month)

and now, a lovely duet, y'all. Edmund Purdom does a good sync, methinks.

as always,

From Letty with love

Thanks for Caruso and the duet with Ann Blyth and Mario Lanza. Well, I just took a two hour course in Fair Housing. We take several of the same courses over again each year. Time to sign out. Good night.

Good morning WA2K radio audience.

Hey Brit. That song by Steve was excellent. Never heard him, but I love the title of the song "while you see a chance." Thanks, and have a great work day, buddy. Razz

Izzie, Welcome back, gal. Ah, it is womderful to see you so happy. Now just who is this "G" to whom you refer? Yep, it was Alexandra Burke's "Hallelujah".

How did those in the middle ages hunt?
