@Letty,
That's part of the soundtrack but "Gollum's Song" was sung by Emiliana Torrini (an Icelandic singer) during these scenes and then during the end credits. Bjork was originally tapped but somehow never did the vocal.

edgar, thank you for acknowledging my song to you. I hope you find it a bit cooler now, Texas. Los Payos was delightful. Thanks, buddy.

Mr. Wizard, I recall gollum from the Hobbit and he was scary then. Your beautiful but rather sad song done by Torrini, the lady from Iceland, was fabulous, but haunting.

I am so happy to see that Prince Gautam is back in our forum, and the flying squirrel, JPB, is back as well.

Looking out my studio window, I see a beautiful full moon. It's time for me to say goodnight, and with no apologies, I am going to do one that I have done many, many times.

Now I, too, am off the radar, panz.

Bleep,

From Letty with love

I once had a record of that song, letty. I played it lots. Some you could never hear to often. I have played this one before, but I searched it out again.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, WA2K and edgar. Razz

I have never heard that song, Texas, but I am assuming that it has to do with the sea and sailors. Thanks, buddy.

Well, y'all, today is the birthday of Enrique Iglesias, son of Julio. Let's listen to father and son, shall we?

First, Julio

Good morning. I really value Julio's music. His son is equally talented, but I don't listen to him very much. Thought I would play some George Harrison this AM.

@panzade,
JPB, Welcome back, gal. I do believe that lady has heard Miss Ella. panz says it right, gal; however, that is the most unusual acoustic bass that I have ever seen.

Chopin says hello. Doesn't this fellow play a "grand" piano? <grins>

@JPB,
Love it, JPB. Sachmo and Ella and Summertime by Ella. I don't care for scat vocalizing, but when that lady sings straight, there is no one better than she, agree?

Today is Tony Tennille's birthday, and I'm surprised that lady can sing good jazz.

Here she is with an oldie, How High the Moon

Well, letty, I recall that and most of Rick Nelson's other songs. I grew up with the Ozzie and Harriet radio and TV shows, so already liked him before he took up music. The other songs on here, with Ella and the rest are great.

Right now I am listening to a young Paul Anka.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks, edgar. We all appreciate your recognition of what we play on WA2K. Ah, Paul Anka. You taught me so much about him, Texas. Put Your Head on My Shoulder was great.

Well, Today is "half pint's " birthday, y'all, so here is a wonderful tribute to that gal.

Back in a bit, Mr. Wizard to replay your song.

My mother loved Little House on the Prairie. I didn't acknowledge the Tony Tenille song, but her version is at least as good as Les and Mary's.

Joan Baez sold a lot of copies of this song (originally done by The Band)

Well, Mr. Wizard. That "Birdland" song is all the cue that I needed for Guess Who? Razz Thanks for another Ella.

edgar, I love The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, especially by Joan. Thanks, buddy.

JPB, What a fantastic surprise to hear Ricky's sons tearing it up. Great, Miss squirrel. Had no idea about them.

Here are two songs, y'all. First a repeat of George, then a song by Ray Charles indicating how many of us feel after shelling it out, especially here in Florida.

Yep, Ray, a lot of us are busted.
