Wow. Love Gilbert and Sullivan. Dave Edmunds was rather Beach Boyish, but I'll bet our Brit didn't know that they loved The Four Freshmen. My favorite by both of them was, "Their Hearts were Full of Spring"

edgar, I think Stan Freberg was one of the funniest guys that I have ever heard. Love your version of "Dragonet", Texas, and here's another.

"Little Blue Ridinghood"

I at one time had these Stan Freberg pieces on 78RPM. But, they got broke.

I am in a hurry to pick up my wife and get her to work. I like the Freshmen a lot and will check out their song when I get home.

Well, y'all, we got the green sea turtle back and now the Rock. Steady as she goes, buddy. Don't be keeping any "bad company". Don't know where the squirrel went. Flying in some other direction, I guess.

While the moose man's back is turned, I'm going to steal his song.

A little lighter version of a sleeping lion.

@Barry The Mod,
The finale of "The Mikado" from Mike Leigh's film "Topsy Turvy" -- damn, I've got to get that in Blu-Ray:

@Lightwizard,
Hey, Mr. Wizard. I like all of Gilbert and Sullivan's stuff, but I never heard that one. Guess it's cause I didn't see, "Topsy Turvy."

Why not some Gilbert O'Sullivan, folks.

@Letty,
"Topsy Turvy" is a biopic of Gilbert and Sullivan and, of course, a musical with several "staged" productions of their operettas. After all, they were really the founders of the Broadway musical having inspired Jerome Kern, for just one, (and after the Broadway reviews and vaudeville) to create "Showboat."

@Lightwizard,
Thanks for the info, Mr. Wizard. When you mentioned that Gilbert and Sullivan inspired Jerome Kern, I immediately did a search and found this exquisite jazz piano piece.

Sorry for the piano lesson.

@Letty,
Prompt what is probably the best jazz performance of "Yesterdays" with Wes Montgomery, the greatest of the jazz guitarists.

Thanks, dys and Mr. Wizard for the jazz. I think Art Blakey did Moanin as well.

Memphis Soul Stew by King Curtis was one that I haven't heard. Yep, great band.

Well, it's time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with Don Mclean.
