@Letty,
Good Morning Dear Letty, Edgar, Baz & WA2K

oh....... what a truly truly magnificent Easter Saturday with the sun streaming thru the trees and the brook babbling away- such a spectacle to see and hear.

So................ little fella and whistle this.... he does a few bars, then I do the next... and so on..... before we start giggling - and as one knows, it is IMPOSSIBLE to whistle and giggle at the same time!

Beethovens 5th...

anyhoooooooo - gonna go and play a quick rendition of Fur Elise on my Joanna - see if the fingers will work and if the mind and hands will co-ordinate togeher. If not - it'll be a Fuzzie Fur Elizze ! Very Happy

Happy Easter Saturday to y'all.

Good morning. I particularly like Barry's clip of Sammy, the Andrews Sisters and the Supremes. I seem to remember Julius LaRosa with Arthur Godfrey, and a dispute they had.

@edgarblythe,
Morning, edgar. I checked out Arthur Godfrey. He wasn't a very nice man, methinks.

Thanks, Izzie for Beethoven's Fifth. Always liked that classical piece.

How about a little easy listening and famous jazz song. Love the video, y'all.

I recall Body and Soul from some where.
Well, I don't care for most of Bobby Vee's songs, but have always liked these.

Here's one to match your Bobbie Vee's rubber ball, edgar.

@Letty,
I m pretty sure Red Rubber Ball is an early Paul Simon composition.

@edgarblythe,
Simon and Garfunkle waited too long to record "Red Rubber Ball" and the Cyrkle(Circle) beat em to it, edgar.

Love Eleanor Rigby, Texas. I'm strange about being alone. I choose to be sometimes.

Inspired by the dys, here is a song that I love.

I don't dispute that Cyrkle had the first recording of Red Rubber Ball. Also, I was only partially correct in saying that Paul Simon wrote it. It was a collaboration between him and Bruce Woodley.

I listened to Woodley's song a little while ago, letty. It's quite a song, all right. Could not find this one by Belafonte. Did find it by Robeson, though.

edgar, I listened to Paul sing Where You There several times. What a wonderful bass voice he has, and that hymn was awe inspiring.

Izzie, that is a delightful Easter egg. You clever girl. Thank you, hun.

Time for me to say good night and I shall do so with two beautiful versions of J.S. Bach classics.

In my family, the Easter bunny got all the glory. I loved to listen to Jack Benny walk down 5th Avenue on the radio on this holiday. At least I think he took the fifth.

This clip of an Easter event Benny hosted, but others perform.
