LatelyI have had opportunity to watch some of Gregory Peck's earlier films. It makes me appreciate him more than ever, to see that he could be pretty versatile in his roles.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Welcome back. Hope all was well in Dallas, buddy.

Strange, ever since Bobby Darin interjected these words into Beyond the Sea:

"my lover stands on Tommy Sands.", I have been doing some research on the man. Had no idea who he was but found that he was married to Nancy Sinatra at one time.

Found this song by him, folks, and it's lovely. Great for Sunday as well.

I recall Tommy Sands making something of a splash, one year, and getting wed to Nancy. His film role in Sing Boy Sing, and accompanying hit record, came his way after being rejected by Elvis Presley. He seemed like a good guy and I liked him.

I went to see my brother, Friday, and came home right at 3PM, Central time. He is much weakened and I was unable to have a conversation with him. The thing about it is, he is struggling fiercely against the inevitable, making it hard to guess how much more time he has. I believe the end may come during the coming up week.

@edgarblythe,

@dyslexia,
Most of my life, I was closest to this brother than to any other person. There was one period of estrangement, but brothers don't have to see eye to eye to rebuild bridges and be close again. We had been better pals than before, I think.

edgar and dys, I have been where you have been, and although I am NOT religious, I have a simple faith. It has gotten me through many a maze and don't ask me to explain, because I cannot.

Generally, I try to acknowledge each contribution, but I think we can forgo that this time.

@Izzie,
Izzie, we're all in it together. Much love to you as well.

Well, folks, today is Bette Davis' birthday. Nope, not gonna do Bette Davis Eyes.

I loved her as Apple Annie, but here is one by Al Martina from the movie Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte.

I have always enjoyed that song from Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte. I can't recall if I havewatched the entire movie, however.
