In the misty moonlight (of course it is too cloudy outside to see the moon tonight)

I remember when James Taylor released his first album (Sweet Baby James). My brother brought in a copy and we listened to it every day for a month.

bob dylan released Nashville Skyline spring of 69, In Jan 1970 James taylor released Sweet Baby James and a month later Van Morrison released Moondance; I listened to all three every day for rest of the year.

I played the grooves off of my Dylan albums in those days. I came to appreciate Van Morrison later on.

Good morning, WA2K listeners and contributors.

What a nice collection of music to hear upon awakening.

edgar, In the Misty Moonlight was perfect, and The Four Lads' Moments to Remember brought back some memories.

dys, I use to play the same songs over and over. Bill told me that I took a bath in music. He listened technically a lot of the times.

Hey, Barry the Brit. What a delight to hear Shining Light, Adagio for Strings, and There's a guy by Kristy. They are all new to me. Thanks, England.

Izzie you and that boy are beautiful, red noses and all. Also enjoyed "Just Can't Get Enough". Always nice to see other countries here.

Did I read somewhere that some guy jumped over Niagra Falls? Wow! he didn't even have a barrel. He didn't even want to be rescued. Weird, no?

Two songs for the morning, y'all.

First, Misty by Earoll Garner

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdsEQdvV7dg&feature=related

and, folks, since it's Adam Clayton's birthday, a song that everyone knows, U2's version of Stand by Me.

I think today is the birth of one of the longest words in the English language.

paraskavedekatriaphobia. Fear of Friday the 13th.

I like several versions of Misty, including Errol's. I was unfamilia with U2's verson of Stand By Me.
Speaking of listening to the same songs over and over, I constantly listen to songs I collected on records as far back as 1958. Any song I ever liked in the past still sounds good to me.

I enjoyed Heart of Glass, and I'm with you, Brit. Didn't Google buy YouTube?

Let's see if this one works for Barry, folks.

Today is Neil Sedaka's birthday, and this is my favorite by him.

@Letty,
Hmm, Letty. Everyone is staying at home today because it's Friday the 13th. Hope no black cats have crossed their paths.

Good news for our coffee lovers, folks.

Coffee has health benefits.

It's a good thing coffee has health benefits, as much of it as I drink.
I remember Manhattan Transfer, letty.

Some people say women are smarter than men. I don't know. I'm kind of neutral about it.

@edgarblythe,
Tried to find that one by The Mills Brothers, edgar. No luck. Oops that may be the result of Friday 13th.

Loved that Harry Belafonte song, and I love the part where the baby's eyes were blue. Harry is still great, too.

Today is William Macy's birthday, and this is a surprise to me, folks.

Macy, in that clip, reminds me of George Segal, who used to play banjo on those type of shows.

Are you smarter than a fifth grader?

@edgarblythe,
edgar, could NOT recall George Segal. I even looked at his photo.

Lord have mercy, if anyone out there has ever been on live TV you might understand why Jennifer was not smarter than a fifth grader. That was a great piece. Math is not and has never been one of my strong points. Thanks for that, edgar.

Well, y'all, I do remember Macy in Jurassic Park III and a little bit in Fargo, but the movie fargo reminded me that it was done by the Cohen Bros who also did O Brother Where Art Thou. It was supposed to be based on The Odyssey, and then I found out that they had never READ the Odyssey; however, it was the only movie that I really liked George Clooney in. Especially like this song.

Sure do miss Ellinas.

I'm not much of a Clooney fan. My wife liked him in The Perfect Storm and got me to watch. Not really my kind of movie.

George Segal made the movie, King Rat. He was the male visitor to see George and Martha in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? And, he starred in a TV sitcom, Just Shoot Me.
