@edgarblythe,
edgar, never can get too much of Ray. Thanks, Texas, and may your work week be worry free.

Today is Douglas Adams' birthday, and I use to play his games all the time. "I caught the bable fish" was considered a mark of excellence.

So, we think man/woman is intelligent?

@Barry The Mod,
Ah, Britman, I now use my beach towel to dry my car. Simply walk and wade once in a while. (reminds me of a song, of course)

Loved your Marvin Gaye song. He is really great and thanks.

Here's another On the Beach which ain't so great. Read the book, but didn't know there was a TV series, y'all.

@Letty,
Good Morning, Miss Letty and all of your listening audience.

I'm on a Ruthie Foster kick this morning. I posted a number of her songs over on Rock's thread but I found a few more that need a home. Here's one.

Love it, JPB. We'll dedicate that Rain Song to Reyn.

Here's a great one by Sam and Ali. Sorta cheers me up after remembering On the Beach.

@edgarblythe,
I enjoyed Ray, edgar. I found this great version of "Don't Know Why" by Norah Jones in the 'related videos' of your link.

That sad song makes me seek something positive, such as a bluebird.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, love Hank Snow, edgar. That singing ranger knows where to find a bluebird. Thanks, Texas.

Which reminds me of this one, folks.

TREES

by: Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918)

THINK that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

@Izzie,
Why, Izzie. Don't you realize it was this little fellow that brought Alex back?

(loved that song by Dionne, Elton, Stevie, etc.)

It might even have been Jan.

Sam Cooke was a great vocalist. And the bluebird is always welcome, too. Here's a song about a fallen star.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I can't think of a better one than a tribute to Perry Como, folks.

This fellow is not as good as Mr. laid back Como, but it is a great memory.

Good morning Ms Letty and the peeps in WA2K land from a very grey day in London town.
Seems that Discovery was grounded due to "a gas leak".
Anyway,sounding as though it was recorded at Motown in the late 60's-early 70's,from his latest album....
