oops, edgar, missed Bar in Bandera. I think the bar must have been closed rather quickly.

Izzie, Sunshine by Keane was beautiful. Love to hear songs that I don't know, and you just played one of my favorites by Michael Buble. He is truly great!

Time for me to say goodnight, and although Cat no longer sings, we can remember him the way he used to be.

A moonshadow will follow me to bed.

Goodnight world,

From Letty with love

@edgarblythe,
Good morning to you, edgar and WA2K radio. I really love that song by Sir Elton, Texas. I think we have discussed the implications before and decided that it had to do with the war in Vietnam.

Here's one by him that my students used to say was my theme songs.

@edgarblythe,
Was your "Daniel" in the Vietnam war, edgar?

Remember this one, buddy? It made my eyes get a mite misty.

@edgarblythe,
My word, edgar. I had no idea that the song Barry the Brit played was by THAT Harry. Loved The Echos of my Mind. Didn't you and Raggedy and I discuss once upon a time that "Lay Lady Lay" almost became the theme for Midnight Cowboy? (hope our puppy's studio is viable now)

I haven't seen a one of the oscar movies either. The last one that I saw in the movie theater was Valkerie with Tom Cruise and it was so boring that I am loathe to go that route again.

I will say that today is Peter Fonda's birthday, and this one is one that I identify with him, folks.

I like Peter Fonda and the Byrds.
The only reason Lay Lady Lay was excluded from the film, if what I read was accurate, it was not finished in time. No matter. I think Everybody's Talkin fits it better.

er, dys, I see what you mean by non conformist. That was possibly the worst music that I have ever heard, but you knew that, right?

edgar, movie theaters ain't what they used to be.

Well, time for me to say goodnight and what a weird discovery I made, y'all. In looking for the music to Romberg's "Overhead the moon is beaming" (that's not the actual title) I found Jan Peerce's version. Then, of all things found that Enrico Caruso did a war song called "Over There".

First, Jan.

Now, Enrico.

Now from Letty,

Love always

Love those clips, dys and izzie. I know those by Caruso and Jan, though I always preferred Mario's version of Serenade.

Good morning, WA2K radio.

Ah, Izzie, I missed your lovely contribution last evening. Love that song from Titanic, gal. Thanks. Isn't it coincidental that Billy Zane's birthday is today?

edgar, That Vietnam song by your Jan was powerful and the last photo of the soldier crying touched my heart.

Hey, Barry the Brit, Pearl and The Puppets was different, but I enjoyed Southside Johnny more since it got the blood flowing this early morning.

Well, y'all, I did find this one by Mario for edgar, and it, too, is lovely.
