Good morning, WA2K radio land.

Heard from edgar, and his wife is home and doing well. Fantastic, Texas.

Three songs to begin the day and celebrate the holidays, y'all.

First, for Merry Andrew

And for those of us who are Christians.

Good m orning. I will not be online very much this morning. I want to thank you all for your support in this trying time. We are both surviving the surgery and doing well. Thanks to you, letty, for the Stevie Wonder dedication.

@edgarblythe,
Everone is out shopping, edgar. Razz

Wow! Jerry, Bill, and Elvis would make a great trio, right? Thanks for the smile.

Had to pull Samuel Jackson's tribute, 'cause their were bad words in it.

Well, I was hoping our puppy would pad in today, but I did find a funny one about Keifer Sutherland whose natal day is today.

Be careful when you drive and drink, y'all. Better still, stay home.

That's a funny song, letty. In the 50s, the Kingston Trio had a song titled Coplas. The word means Mexican music. This past year, I came into a box set of their music, and that one gets no play and no mention. I did find it on youtube, but it may be offensive to Mexicans, so I will not play it. To me, it is just poor people's humor, utilizing here Mexicans. Other such humor features Ma and Pa Kettle. I love most forms of humor. Sorry people feel that way.

@edgarblythe,
I know exactly how you feel, edgar. I despise politically correct things. Strange, I have always loved Mexican music. Fact is, I like all music except Rap. I like to hear a melody.

Here's a funny one, too.

Richie Valens and scenes from the film bio of him

Sometimes it seems more politically correct to be not politically correct than to be politically correct.

@edgarblythe,
Love your observation about "politically correct", edgar. Thanks for the Richie song. I think the only thing that I ever heard by him was La Bomba.

I guess (even though it may cause friction) the best thing to do is just make an honest observation tempered with kindness.

Our Izzie just announced that it was Barry the Mod's birthday

Here's another dedication, y'all, and it's what our cyber radio is mostly about.

As I have always observed, it's the sound of the language that I love.

I'll make it my goodnight song

Tomorrow,

Good moring, WA2K folks. Sheeeeze, I have a long day facing me. Thanks for the Jester songs, Rock and edgar, and I especially liked Long Train Running.

Strange, edgar, I just noticed the secret of the bank bailouts and where the money really goes and it reminds me of the depression years. In looking at your thread about double names I recall that my older sister knew a gal named Evans Evans and she was in Bonnie and Clyde.

Here's the banjo theme from that movie, y'all.

Big business has been so unregulated they can openly excercise their greed. It is their goal to have every last dime of the public, except to allow the minimum it requires to keep the public solvent enough to keep feeding them. If that makes any sense.

@Raggedyaggie,
Welcome back, puppy. My nose is a little cold today. The East wind off the ocean is freezing to the bone.

Thanks for the quintet of famous folks and the info about the others. I am always fascinated by it.

A tribute to Morris Gibb. (Too bad about Andy as well)
